Hey AZB'er's

Got this idea from another thread about breaking your cues down and casing them when not playing...

So, here's the question...

How much money do you have invested in your everyday gear?...ie what's in the case that you carry, use and play with everyday?...include your case, cue's and favorite accesories...just thought it would be interesting to know what the average 'Player' had invested in our favorite pastime...
__________

Guess I should tally up...

Schon LTD - $740, (thx to Erik)
Jerico Stinger - $295
Instroke Buffalo - $325
Misc - $100

When I have my cues and case with me I walk into the pool hall with about $4000 in equipment.

Right now I have about $450 total. In a few months that will grow to about $1500 because of this damn custom cue bug going around ;)

My Bag

Dave Kikel "American Beauty" ($1,475 in 1999), Custom Sledgehammer ($1,200), Bob Frey ($450 from Poukey), Instroke Buffalo case ($350), and a glove for those damp days.

This is a true story. I met this guy in Japan looking for a new tip on his breaker and no one wanted to touch his cues.

So, I asked him, "what kind of cue are you using for break?"

He replied casually, "it is a Gus Szamboti..."

I then asked out of curiosity, "what do you play with?"

" Just a Balabushka..."

I cannot really remember what kind of case he was carrying. I think it was may be a Swift?

By the way, I am talking about authetic Szamboti and Balabushka in case you are wondering.

How much is in his *everyday* case? I have no idea... ;)

Ok now that the wife is out of the room i'll tell .I'm now playing with a Kennth Murrell cue It's about $900 .case is some thing i found on line for $150 .2/4, tip shaper. some old gum and i think a penny.O jus order a b/j cue from Murrell is about 400 ,match my shootin cue.. So u do the math from there .O does the 5 pointer have some to do in this /that is getting made too >I'll have by my B-day ...
PS the case i have is 4 sale.I'll take 100. of the case ... :D

Mcderrmott: 600 canadian used
Break Cue: 200 canadian
Case: 110 canadian
Cue Cube: 10 canadan

Close to a thousand all invest by myself. Thats one thing about pool i enjoy, i bought my equpment.

I've invested a paltry $1350 for three cues and a second hand case. It's not that much compared to some, however, I allways get at least one person or more to keep one eye on my stuff when I hit the can. :D

I'd hate to see some junkie scoop my cues,go to the pawn shop and get to smoke crack for a few lousey hours at my expense. RJ

Well I do not know what I have INVESTED, as I do not consider POOL EQUIPMENT, ACCESSORIES, Etc., an Investment.

For me they are a way to pass time, and keep from going bouncers watching T.V. while retired.

I classify my stuff as Hobby Sports Equipment.

But my Normal Carry Gear is:

A Whitten 2 x 4 that has the following in it:

Two Cues by Jack Madden

4-6 Pieces of Green Master Chalk

2 Q holder Q-Claw

Tiger LEDR Burnisher

Willard

Spinali Moose Head Bridge

Cue Doctor Dent Buffer

Mini BCA Rule Book

Chalk Holder with Tip Pic

Tip Taper

Package of Q-Smooth Micro Burnishing Film

Sticky Hole Re-enforcing WHITE Donuts

Several Soft Flannel Rags

Folding READING GLASSES

Plus the stuff at home in the closet, like a few more Cues, Chalk, Bryne Tapes, Training Balls, etc., etc. Dollars and Cent I do not know, and don't want to add it because I might say OH NO.

I consider Pretty Cues an Art Form, and have a VERY SMALL ART COLLECTION that I play with as Cues is for Playing, and not to be SAFE QUEENS....

yeah i know a guy who plays and BREAKS with his bushka, has since 69 when he bought it..... plays everyday

unfortunatley i only have about $4000 but maybee i can fix that.

Your talking investments right. Well I made the investment. I figure you want to now what that investment is worth now rather than when I bought it. I'd guess about -$3,000 to -$4,000. My investment hasn't been doing to well. :(

$300 Joss Cue, $150 Fury J/B Cue (For sale by the way), $100 2x4 Giuseppe case, $50 in Accessories (Moori tips, Q claw, masters chalk, qsmooth, etc). Also have my Players cue which was like $50. So about $650, not too bad i only started a few months ago and and its been worth every penny

later down the road when i get better hopefully i can be up there with you guys, get myself a nice Schon or Custom cue with an Instroke case haha

In strange rooms....take your cue to the can with you.

If people their think you are STRANGE for doing so....just remember that's OK because you're a Stranger in a STRANGE room
:D RJ

Ok. Buddha162 always objects to this and I guess I can see his point. On any given day, between my case and its contents, I have about $5100-$5300 in equipment with me and his reasons for objecting are this. I have a high end Gilbert w/ custom joint protectors by Kornele, a Mottey, and an Omen all of which were pricey and the case is, well, lets just say not exactly high end. But is solid enough as long as you don't throw it around and, lets face it, with $5000 or so inside, I'm not gonna be tossing it around anytime soon.
