I have found that it isn't how much you play, rather the skill level of your opponents that make the difference in your game ... I let my buddies talk me into joining the local 8-Ball League (bar pool) and every Weds. night our team plays a different group of "schlepps" who wouldn't know "cue ball control" from "bladder control" ... They don't come to play Pool, but to drink themselves into a stuper while slamming every ball as hard as possible and hoping one of their balls will make it to the designated hole ... Invariably, they miss and leave you frozen behind one of their balls and you NEVER get a decent roll ... If, and when, you get to the table and run the rack, they claim you are an Unconscious, Lucky S.O.B. ... Five more weeks of this learning experience and I am through with Bar Pool ...
