HOW much is ur cue ?

back to my McDermott Hustler...
I paid $230 including the moori med

also I have a j/j powerbreak b/j cue for 65€ (however it has some "minor" modifications on it.. ringwork to match my former cue and irish linen wrap on the jump stick and the break handle so its alltogether 265€)

my viking is 400$ and 314-2 220$, i break with old fury playing cue that was less than 100$

I have:

Playing cues
[2] Hammerhead cues (purchased from Freddy The Beard's website). Other than the motif/design, they are identical in how they play (which is GREAT, by the way). One is kept at home to practice with, the other is in my case as my main player. Cost: $200.00 each, plus shipping.
[1] Meucci model 97-11 with Panther shaft. Bought used, without the shaft, for $200.00.

Jump/Break:
[1] Fury model JB-RW (Bamboo) jump/break. Due to excessive mushrooming, I had the original carbon/graphite tip-ferrule shaved completely off on a cue lathe by my local cue luthier, and replaced with a special phenolic tip that doesn't mushroom, but also doesn't damage the cue call. I don't play BCAPL at the moment, so BCAPL's ban on phenolics doesn't affect me. Cost: $179.00, plus $40.00 to have the carbon/graphite tip cut-off and replaced with a phenolic.

Collector cues (cues I don't take out of the house, but still play with):
[1] 26-year old Mali with the original old block-lettering logo, that I purchased when I was in the U.S. Navy. Cost (at the time): $400.00, but the cue is worth much more than that to me (sentimental value), because it was my main player for such a long time, has seen tons of action, and is in GREAT condition. The stories this cue can tell!
[1] Joss model 828 with both a standard and a high-performance shaft (this cue I won in a raffle at the February 2009 Turning Stone Classic). Cost: $20 for seven raffle tickets, but the cue (plus aforementioned shafts) is worth over $1000.00.

I play with a Predator Ikon 1. It was around 475 i think. I like the plain styling and it plays very well for me.

Predator Ikon 1
18.75oz
314-2 shaft
Kamui Black medium tip

wow thats one heck of a cue, I know this b/c I have played with it. It hits similiar to a Gus that I own. I perfer a linen wrap, thats just me, you can move the rock around the box real good with that cue, the feed back is great when you hit a ball with it you know you hit it. It would take one hell of a cue to top this cue-not looks wise but playability too. Cory will own this cue for along time, I cant imagine a better playing cue except a real old Gus or Bushka-because they are made of old wood. But for a "New" cue it is perhaps the nicest hitting cue I have played with or real close to it.

It's a nice copy too........funny how it's no a big deal if a Mottey inlay pattern is lifted.......

i'm confused:confused::confused::confused: but thats not hard to do

The inlay pattern in the points and center of the wrap are copied from a Mottey. Hope I helped you understand. My point was no one cares or maybe no one knows. Just a little heads up.

My family of SCRUGGS

I played with a scruggs SP back 5 yrs ago, sold it a year later as to my wife and I started having kids. I recently had the fortune in buying a custom shop huebler that I flipped and I bumped in a fine lady who sold her Family of Scruggs to me. I always wanted to get a Scruggs SP again, but this was a deal of a life time. So, I have a Madagascar Rosewood Sp, and lighter color SP (asked Mike and Tim and they don't know what wood it was), and a 1 of approximately 100 custom jump butt made out of birdseye maple. They are the sweeest things I have ever owned, and the last. See my avatar for the grouping. In my financial endeavor, I have approximately $200 in purchasing all the Scruggs you see here. I am one LUCKY fool!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm still playing with a Schon that I got in the early 90's for $400 cdn. if I recall correctly. Was the nicest looking cue I'd ever seen because it was so plain but well made. Simple ebony forearm with no points, 4 ivory diamonds in the ebony butt and rings at ABCDE. To this day it still has the original ferrules on both shafts and they hit IDENTICAL.

Had it appraised in vegas a few years back at $1300 usd. as it was and $1500 if I had it refinished to take the nicks out of the finish on the butt. I highly doubt that I will ever willingly part with it.

I use a Runde that I bought used a couple of years ago. It was $1600 in 02. I also use a Schon R-6 that I think go for around $6-800. It's George 2x4 leather case and a J&J Jump/Break. I have around $1600 into everything.

i have a $235 lucasi, a $300 mcdermott, $100 schmelke breaker, and a $40 jump stick (not sure the brand name, has a fancy cursive E on it.)

Paid 300 for My Scruggs SP +$185 because i wanted a new shaft. And my Deeder also cost 300. They may not be much but both cues were talked down from $400 :)
