We'll i've read through all the comments and I have changed my mind.Okay maybe not but I am going to still play with masters, but it is nice to see the industry growing I love pool and times change and life goes on.But I would hope to think that Kamui knows that in business you have to be competitive. So with that said I feel the chalk has to be close to the same price as the Masters.Lets not forget the Guys and Girls working in the factory making this stuff in Chicago. I mean I'd rather put some dough in there pockets. I mean i'm sure they got mouths to feed.Sorry guys I like my chalk with a american flag on the side. Thanks for listening jimjones.......

there goes the saying

"chalk is cheap" or "chalk is free" after a miscue:(

i don't have to worry about paying for chalk, my local poolroom sponsors me and i get all the free chalks i want :p:thumbup:

Save your money for cues eh ?

I can't believe what I read. I think lots of the younger generation is being bull$h!tted.

Here's what I use ....

What the heck is that..... less than 14 cents a cube? Please ..

I went to the site. I'll always use Master chalk now. No other chalk transforms into the tip. Using Master I figure my tip will last forever, I'll just have to trim it now and then. Check out the ad for a gross of Master blue.

The Chalk of the Masters. Save when you buy a gross (144) of the premium quality chalk preferred by the masters. It has a smooth texture that transforms evenly to the tip of your cue. When ordering chalk in quantities, extra freight charges may be applied.

In all the years I've played, all I've ever used was Masters, until I tried this chalk. Made by the same people that make Masters, I found this to be a bit more gritty and I like the way it sort of digs itself into the tip. But yes, Masters is great also.

I pay nothing. When I find a near new cube at the pool room or the bar I just slip it in to my case.

Maniac, you've got the best idea. How much would they charge if people were smart enough not to buy it?Is this chalk made in China with the lead put back in?

Going to poolrooms in my area is a price too great to pay with all that crazy loud noise coming from the jukebox. Not to mention the cost of Tylenol is more than the chalk. :(

I made a point of going to the Kamui booth at SBE on Friday. The guy in the booth was holding onto the one piece of chalk like it was a gold bar. He allowed people to touch the chalk and even offered to apply it to your cue. He then pointed to a Japanese kid who couldn't have been more than 20 years old and told me that he invented it. He then proceeded to tell me how you would be able to chalk less with it and that they sold out of the chalk in Japan......when I asked how much he confirmed it...25 buckaroos. Ouch!
