how to keep a shaft from siezeing up to the butt

I have a Break cue that i constantly have problems with the shaft siezeing(sp?) up to the butt. It can get so bad that i have to have another person grab the shaft side and break it loose. The cue is a wood to wood joint style with a stainless pin(3/8X10), no insert. Any tips/tricks of the trade to keep this from happening?

Thanks

A bit of wax on the threads of the pin should help it turn easier and may help with the seizing.

I was going to comment on this but then I remembered it's Sunday.
Just let it go Bruce.
