why not just use this:(Clorox spray bottle general cleaner) spray on, wipe off with micro-fiber cloth. hit it a couple times and let it dry.
I'd worry about residue staying in the wrap. Maybe start with the gentlest method first and work up to the spray bleach. Maybe use Woolite along the way.

Ozone machine?
Nice looking cue Renegade.

I second coundnthinkof01s suggestion. Use ozone as a solution to problems similar to this.

If you’re a homeowner with a basement, get an ozone maker/generator. Pretty simple to build your own with any high voltage transformer.
(like an old neon sign, or similar)

My ozone generator is embarrassingly just two 4” x 4” pieces of metal screen glued to either side of a 6” x 6” piece of glass.

Wire the 70kV transformer to each piece of screen, leaving the glass between the two pieces of metal screen as an insulator.

The arc between the screens will create a lot of ozone.

Run this thing on a timer in your basement.
If the basement air is smell free, nice.
If you can smell ozone, use the device less. The ozone (O3) will dissipate break down into oxygen (O2) quickly.
So will any dank smell.
Another plus, bugs hate it too.

Yeah, nice looking cue. Those Adam sticks are real nice. She might look even better with a black wrap?

Well yes , I know that - and since the sushi restaurant’s “ kitchen” is in the front of the house - I would imagine that is why all the walls in the seating area also were lined in stainless - good thinking on his part.

They make a spray on odor eliminator for bow hunters. You spray it on your clothes and boots and stuff. If you know anyone that bow hunts ask to borrow some, or just buy some for yourself, about 8 to ten bucks.
If you go to buy some, make sure you don't get the masking scent, it's a skunk gland. It really works great. We would wad up some cotton balls in plastic film containers that we taped a loop on. When you would get to your tree stand, you would hang it from a branch. Was so strong that deer never smelled you as the skunk smell was natural to them.

I think I have scent out of the linen wrap on the cue but time will. The cue is now stored in our finished and temperature controlled basement.

The case is going to take some more work. The felt lining is really holding onto the smell, even after being washed with lemon scented dish soap and being stored outside and open. It would be nice to save the case but it may not be saveable.

A solution of a cup of bleach in a bucket of warm water. Wash rag, wring it out good, not soaking wet. Go over the wrap very gently. Let it dry. Do this a few times, may take awhile. Then after it's good and dry and you're satisfied, either press it good with a glass rod or a shot glass. If still a bit rough, wet sand with the smoothest sandpaper you can find.

Caveat. This works well with a white linen, whatever kind of speck. Dark linen, not so much, for the look. Do a search, and you'll see my formula for making linen look like Cortland.

Your mileage may vary. Experience matters.

In the end did you use just sunlight and fresh air?
Sunlight and fresh air for 6-8 hours, then wrapped the wrap in a couple of scented dryer sheets overnight.

Seems to have worked. I'll check it again tonight. If the smell comes back I'll have to try some of the ideas presented in this thread. I just want to be really careful and not damage the finish.
