How would you play Buddy Hall, 9 ball race to 11 games for the cheese?

Updaate to thread, about Buddy Hall.

Buddy said he will play anyone under the age of 45 One Pocket only. Anyone over the age of 45 he will play 9 ball with them. He just snapped off another tournament a few days ago. And he has been playing a lot of one Pocket. He will play cheap or high.

Hi There . . .

What say you and I play a little 9-ball for some money . . . oh! Sure . . . uh. My name is Luther . . . people just call me Wimpy . . . kinda like my pool game . . . how many balls did you say you'd spot me Mr. Hall? Boy . . . these bar cues sure are crappy . . . guess we'll make do with what we have . . . what say 'bouts we start off with $50 a game and you give me the 5 and breaks . . .

going off your post here then he will play me 1 pocket?
if so see what is the most he would bet.

I try my best not to make bad games.
Anyone strong player who can run out in pressure situations, probably has the best of it with that game.

Reason being is Buddy is deliberate, and takes his time around the table.

As a matter of fact, years ago, i watched him get put on the clock at the BCA Open 9ball Championship in Vegas, and subsequently, forfeit the match.

He just unscrewed his stick and shook his head in disgust.

Wow! He just told me that is exactly what he did! He said they asked him to finish the match and he said he did.

Hey Real bartram,
I am on the phone with Buddy Hall right now and I told him what you said. His reply was you could not beat him playing One Pocket on your best day! All I said was Wow! How goes it Real, I missed hearing and seeing you on here.

If I won a big lottery, I would play Buddy a short set for $100,000...
....and concede the match.
I would like to see Buddy treated like the older pro golfers.

I was going to PM this, but what the hell?
The man who was knocking the Lock Society....
...I told him that the Locks welcome diverse opinions....
...and I personally bore no ill-will towards him.....as a matter of fact,
if his parents ever decided to make it legal...I would be honored to be
a guest at their wedding.

I told him what you said and that was his answer. I am stuck in the middle of this. I want to know when you are coming to New Orleans, Louisiana? That is my question. I will ask him how much he wants to bet. Ronnie Wiseman might be in line to play you too. He was down here in Buffalo Billiards last night. When I was talking to Buddy Hall, he talked to him on my phone also.

i understand
ronnie wont play.
i will come to louisiana if i have a game for 5 k min.
ill play for less but i wont travel for a game less then 5k
cost to much to travel.
if you can set up a game for me to play for 5k or more ill come.

I'd love to see this go down.. it would be very interesting. I wonder if Buddy can get staked down there for 5k? (Assuming that he needs to be staked).

Only 3 people down here will play you for 5K a game. Randy, Graig B, and West bank John. The rest want to play sets. I am going to call Buddy in a little while.
Lee Brett is in town now, Ronnie Wiseman, Scott Frost and Chris Gentile was down here last month. Truman Houge was down here last month also. There is a large tournament at the Big Easy pool hall this month. Scotty Townsend always comes down. Joey Gray. Warren C. There is always a lot of action down here. Kid carl and James Warren are here everyday.
