How's Business Cuemakers?

last week

i sold an $800.00 conversion, a $375.00 cue a $250.00 cue and got an order for a $390.00 cue i had almost finished. i guess thats not too bad for a part time builder.

good if you build a good cue with out asking 12 times the price it is worth people will buy them faster then you can make them doug

We are doubling our square footage come April 1st. We're completely out of space.

We're bringing out 6 new cues at the Super Billiards Expo, all with inlays. They're the next progression of our OB line. They should make quite an impression as all the inlays will have sharp points.

Production cues, reasonably priced, with sharp inlays!

Lately I have had a good bit of cue building and repair business.
It is still good part time money for me.

Hi Chris. Is it getting better or getting worse?

I have black dust all over!

Things were down for a few years, but are getting better now. A guy picked up a custom cue yesterday and it's brother or maybe I should say sister cue is about halfway done. The sister cue is getting same inlay pattern, but instead of ebony it is Cocobolo and the inlays are green instead of birdseye. The lady it is for loves green. I turn away about as much repair business than I do as I don't have time to refinish other brands of cues. If you master refinish and wrap work you could probably stay pretty busy.
Maybe one of you cuemakers that have mastered that might want to give me a comission if I send you the work?

send me one

I don't think it's a secret that if you're good at what you do, you're usually as busy as you want to be.
There are even times when you're waaaay busier than you want to be.
People tell me that's a good thing. My response: "How much stress can you handle?"
My advice boys & girls, be careful what you wish for.

Chris, I'd luv to help you but Sey comes first and always will.
I don't even want to talk about how far behind I am with my side jobs.
Seriously, it can get to you and I need my head in a good place to do my best work.
I wish they'd be makin' some progress on that cloning thing.

KJ
