There is a lesson in this at about 7:05 on how important it is to focus on every shot.


All 3 of the kids are going to the Jr Nationals this year, my son is in the black shorts with dark shirt.

Leave a comment for him if you watch it and have a youtube account, he is hoping to get more kids playing pool by posting his pool videos, he was very exited when I setup his own channel for it.
 
Great kid Dad !

Seems after that miss on the 8 ball at 7:00 or so, they both started to lose focus toward the game a little.

You should get him interested in 15 ball Rotation, :wink:
 
Pretty fair shooting there. I enjoyed that more than watching orange and purple balls.

Game one, hooked on the 3, off the rail and in. Scratched but still a very good shot.

Alex has a difficult shot on the 7 in game 1. I don't know what you'd call it but I would say that was like a reverse cut. Nice.

I have to make a beer run and put a couple of tips on. I do my best work in the shop later at night. Just me and the ghosts.

I will be tuning in for the rest after I put the tips on.

Oh, and no beer in the shop, thats for after while watching the rest of the vid.

I figured people could use a break from watching 5 packs of 10 ball and Bonus Ball hehe.

The kick on the 3 was great, I always say pool is an evil game, let him make that kick, only to scratch.

The 7 ball I was not happy with because he almost scratched with a ball in hand shot. I always tell him to play that shape 2-3 rails to get to the other end of the table. He did make a great cut on it though and had a few other great shots in this. A long 8 in the corner with good shape on the 9 was one of them, don't remember the game that was in though.

These games are fun with kids that have a hard time running 2 balls with ball in hand, but during the Nationals, he really needs more clear thinking. I need to go though this video a bit with him and point out some things he can do better, like taking more time on shots, which EVERYONE tells him to do hehe. Hoping he gets at least 2 wins in the Nationals, he's been trying hard to improve.

They were in a semi-private room in The Billiards Cafe in Ayer MA, has 3 tables and it's off the side of the main room. They have another private room with a Diamond 7' and a 9' Brunswick. The equipment is in great condition, but tables don't play as good as some of the better rooms out there, the pocket facings tend to spit balls out and many of the tables have pretty noticable rolls. But the room is great overall due to the owner and the league manager, they really treat the players and the kids well.
