Humidity in Florida

I must be outta the loop 'cause i have no clue who you're referring to. AFAIK they WILL be playing indoors and i doubt humidity will be that much of a factor. Florida a/c is usually set on 'arctic' and humidity is not that bad. I live in Ok. and we get humidity #'s up in 70% range a lot so i know what its like.
There's a local hall here right on a lake that you can't play there and not sweat. My hands get sticky, I'm always wiping my brow w napkins to keep it out of my eyes. Tables play fine w all the dampness, but my pocketing speed is firm anyway, so I don't mind in that dept.

Thank God for Air Conditioning. When I was throwing papers in summertime, I stopped in the pool hall and enjoyed her sweet coolness going and coming. Going, I could only step inside the door and catch my breath because people were impatiently waiting on their papers, but coming home, I could take a stool and linger over a Barq's and sweat the action.

All of the "grown-up's" pool halls had a/c, but the conditions in the places where the kids hung out were terrible -- The concept of a brushing/cleaning a table was completely foreign. "Do you want your's with extra powder?" Even today I still wake up in terror, my hands and clothes grimed with talc and sweat. Thankfully I was able to escape these places at an early age -- my abilities to play and keep my shit straight providing me my passport to the Elysian Fields of adult pool halls.
(Remember, in Biloxi our humidity was palpable -- you actually wore it -- and it was deeply infused with, overall, salt sea air and, on the east end, the aroma of seafood plants).

That's true but not in every situation. I used to play in a pool room in Miami called the Congress you would probably been at one time or another. And it would actually be different in different parts of the room. The tables over by the door that led to the outside they would actually change in the course of the night.
Yep, this and the fact that some owners turn ac off during off hours, so humidity is always present in high volumes no matter what temps are.

I'm heartbroken that the Mosconi was moved out of Las Vegas, but I remain optimistic that the 2024 version in Orlando will be a winner.

I think I might be able to confirm it will be indoors.

I'll see what I can come up with.
