I'm watching the predator tour stop 5 from Gotham City Billiards stream & Hunter is playing Jayson Shaw, when one of the commentators said "I've know Hunter for 25yrs since he was 14" which would make him 39 if my maths is correct.

I'm sorry but that's impossible unless he's made a deal with the devil & found the fountain of youth! He looks early to mid 20's.

Somebody enlighten me cos if he is 39 & looks like that, then at 33 I think I might need to see how facelift or at least Botox will set me back!

Don't know about a deal with the devil, but Hunter has been a fixture on the pro pool scene for at least the last 20 years. Great player, great instructor, and obviously great genes! LOL :D

Cheers Scott for the reply, I now feel so old & I'm still younger than he is! Frightening.

He I would say is around that age. I met him over 20 years ago, Danny DiLiberto introduced me to him. He was just a kid and Danny said to me, "Come over here and meet a guy with the greatest name for a pool player you ever heard". I thought he made it up.

He has what I would call "boyish" looks, he reminds me a little of David Spade... and I also think he eats healthy and exercises. He is good friends with Jennifer Barretta who dose the same and also looks a lot younger than she is. ;)

I got carded when i was 41-then i hit the wall right after.

PS-He doesn't look like a 'Lombardo' either. Yeah Yeah Northern Italy i know.

I think you will see more players holding thier age better than players of the past when drugs and alcohol went hand in foot in pool ,,

I believe he was wearing a Mezz patch and playing with one.

On the PGA tour he would be politely referred to as a "solid journeyman pro". Plays good, can't beat the big boys.

Hunter is out there doing what most of us only dream of. He's doing what he likes, which is what life is all about. There's always room at the top, if you are good enough.

Hey stroke, I was carded at Wegman's Supermarket the other day. I'm only seventy one. Don't feel bad :sorry: .

Everyone's life situations are different. Maybe he can sustain himself playing as many tourneys as he does, maybe he has some other means of support, family, girlfriend, whatever.

Ultimately, it's his life, his choice, his business.

He seems to be a very nice and respectful guy who plays pretty sporty.

We can use many more Hunter Lombardos out there. :)

I am pretty sure money is not a problem for him.

Did ya'll notice his prematch stretching? First, impressive. But, he stands in one foot and crosses his other, resting it on top of the rail. Anyone think folks at the venue would have issues with that?

Absolutely. I'm sure he'd take all the action he could from his detractors.

I agree. If he's doing it the right way ( no drugs, no mischief, etc) I'd give up my insurance job, and take a 50% pay cut to play minor league baseball, even with NO chance to ever make it to the majors ;)

Forget all the nice stuff I just said about him.

I'm a germaphobe and he's a monster. :grin-square::eek:

where'd I put my Purell?
