Me and my family are evacuating Florida for the storm. Six of us, including four disabled.

We found a 3 bedroom house in Hunstville Alabama for $150 a night. Booked it for a week starting Saturday.

We are leaving Saturday morning.

If we need to we can leave Friday.

I am taking a couple cues with me and may like to find a place to play a little in Huntsville. Any suggestions would be appreciated and perhaps we can even meet.

Bumpers. The only downside for me is that when I was there last, about three years ago, they still allowed smoking.

Bumpers Billiards. Ask for Robert Hall, I think he is one of the owners. Good luck and I hope the evacuation is unnecessary! ~ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LhkinXpVTEE

New plan.

We lost that rental. We do not know why. Neither the owner nor the agent is helping us.

So we scrambles and found another. This is in Baxter TN. Looked at many and had to grab this one. Looks like in the middle of farmland.

God's country. Boobie Bungalow has a barbox. There used to be a truckstop with a 24hr buffet at the same exit.

I wish I had accommadations for y'all here in Birmingham. Just from "knowing" of you here on Az I wouldn't hesitate to have your family in my home whatever length of time. Hopefully y'all find comfort in Tn. and your property will remain safe & undamaged! Best of luck!

You are correct, it's peaceful country there. Cookville is just up the road from you. It'll have everything you need there. Cookville is the home of TNTech, a great engineering college.

By the way, if you drive across the mountain on TN 111, do not speed through Spencer. Not even 1 MPH over. It is a speed trap.

BB is shut down. When I was a driver I went a few times. They was 7 girls and 33 teeth. The owner used to raise prize coon dogs so my buddy swapped him his girlfriend for one of them prize coon dogs. Best deal he ever made, before or since !!!

I did find a sports bar in Cookville...has at least one table I can see in the pictures.

Baxter is 97.89% White, Hispanic or Latino of any race are 1.72% of the population.

I am about to explode the Hispanic population there. :D

Went all through the City's web site. I am going to visit the medical clinic. Get a tour...visiting doctor and all.

The waiting room is out front on the bench.

But seriously. I grew up in the woods of SW PA in a log cabin. A real old log cabin, not one of those kit homes. I have always been more comfortable in the country.

I am going to enjoy this little trip.

I'm a hop & a skip from there in Manchester. I play in Murfreesboro. It's about an hour drive from Baxter. If you get bored & want to bang a few around, let me know.

I was living briefly in Huntsville in 1968. My best friend and I used to drive to Tennessee and buy beer for the local kids back in Huntsville. At that time George Wallace wanted the entire state of Alabama to be dry so they had an insane tax on all booze. Had lots of fun making beer runs and hanging out with kids at Grissom High! GO Tigers! I also learned about puddlin while I was there...

To Chopdoc,Your a good man and yes family is numero uno. You got my respect fwiw!
