Hybrid Alpha Shaft -- Need your feedback please!!

I was going to make a thread with the same question, but now I don't have to, thanks to you! Looking forward to read the replies to this hence I am going to buy either hybrid alpha or the wd700 soon, and can't decide of which.

i personally liked the WD700 more but i didn't play with the hybrid alpha for long. reminded me of a cuetec shaft a little bit.

The alpha is a little firmer & thicker but feels great. Overall, I preferred the playability of the WD700. I have played with both a fair amount & like them both a lot. For me, the WD700 was the closest to my own cues, whereas the alpha reminded me more of the stiffer cues like SW & Ed Young. It's a comfort thing for me & completely personal preference. Both shafts are very high quality. Mezz has those 3 shafts (hybrid, WD700, alpha) that fit just about everybody's preferences. They're all high grade shafts. Just pick the one that fits your preferences.

Can I say the feel of Alpha is more forward to regular maple shaft, while WD700 is close to those LD shafts??
Another question is about the Mezz joint: which shaft (Alpha or WD700) you think is best for Wavy Joint??

Thanks!!

alpha is more stiffer simply because it also has a carbon fiber inside ,the tip diameter is 12.8, wd700 is so thin for me i can't play with a 12.5mm though it hit stiff but not as stiff as alpha, if i were to choose i'd choose alpha, im using an ebony exceed mezz with wavy joint all i can say is its much better using alpha on it, united joint will definitely balance forward but of coarse it will depend on your preference i would really suggest having alpha on a wavy joint but having united joint with an alpha shaft thats too forward balance, i hope i was of help, sorry im no cue guru hehehe

overall, i much prefer the alpha. used both wd and hp2. somehow i think the alpha has the best feedback and balance

Not really. Neither feel like the typical LD shafts. They both feel like normal maple shafts, just with different flex ranges. Both are solid & feel smooth on contact. The Alpha is just a little stiffer.

I don't think the joint really matters. I'm a fan of the wavy joint but really it doesn't matter.
