I couldn't post because........

<---Dumb and Dumber
at the bottom of each thread there wasn't a reply button for me to click on. I asked Mike about this but he didn't have an answer for me. Has anyone else ever had this problem? I was in California for 11 days playing at Hard Times and was itching to post something..............but I couldn't. Oh well, see ya. Peace, John.

Could be that, since you were not on your regular computer, you were reading the forum as a guest.

No shit! Finally gets to post, and gets stage fright?!?!?
Did you give or get?!

Okay, this is what happened at Hard Times while I was there. The first Sunday there were about 400 players in the tourney and I snapped it off for $85. Well, maybe there were only 17 players, not sure, either 17 or 400, something like that. :) Then the following week was the $1,000 added tourney and I think there were a few byes because I got lucky to get one of them, so we'll say 90 players for this one. I won my first 2 matches, hill-hill, then lost my 3rd 5-1. Then won a few on the losers side, all hill-hill, then lost 4-2 to finish 9th. This is the sad part, in 2 tournaments I broke and ran 3 racks! TOTAL! I just don't understand it either, I practiced at least 2 hours in the 60 days prior to going there, so what could have been wrong with my game? Anyway, about not being able to post while there. I got no clue. I was logged in just like I am now on a computer away from my home and there weren't any reply buttons at the bottom of any of the posts. I could pm, but not post. Other than that and playing pool, I had a great time at Huntington Beach, except for the blistering sunburn I got. Saw some friends that have been friends for 30 years, drank a few cold one's, had a barbeque, and talked about the old days. Plus, my sister brought me a gift from Amsterdam, a beautiful beer stein(sp), and a digital camera. So, all in all, I had a great 2 weeks except I couldn't share it with all of you while it was happening. Peace to all and have a great day. John.

Good to have you back on here again, John. Now, get that damn computer problem fixed!!! :D

I was out of town this weekend and signed onto the computer in the lobby of the hotel. I didn't try to post anything but I did try to respond to a PM. It let me get as far as clicking "yes" or "no" to whether I wanted a confirmation or not. As soon as I made my choice, it sent me to a screen that gave me 3 different reasons why I might not be able to send a PM. I don't recall what they were, but none of them pertained to me. All was good once I got back today.

Rude Dog, I was thinking about you yesterday. Too bad I missed you at HT I was there , as a spectator, the day of the 1000. added. I stayed until about 9PM and had to leave to meet some friends. Did you get a chance to watch any of the match ups betwen the young Filipino and King Kong and Lorry during the week? PM me the next time your going to be around. Did you get a chance to stop by Hot Shots in Cypress? Your friend Bobalu runs some Sat tournaments there. By the way he won the Sun $1000 added in case yoi left early.

I watched the Filipino kid play another youngster during the tournament, I don't know who won though. I talked to Bobalou the next day and he told me he had won. I'll be back for the Labor Day tourney in Riverside, $10,000 added for a $70 entry fee, tough to beat it. Peace, John.

Babalou

Yes Jimmy, Babalou won the first Sunday of the month at Hard Times, Bellflower. Damian was playing the Filipino kid. They ended up breaking even. Well, it was good to see you back playing at Hard Times John.
