I don't get it.

I will do a video later and post. They are not hitting the ball good and way to hard with this rack. I can make a ball most of time. I will see if I can do a 3 or 4 pack and post it.

I took a look at the video, interesting/simple but I've always liked the sounds of balls being racked and some tables with worn out cloth you have to move the racking area left/right/up/down to find a good spot, I don't think I'd have the paitence with this new product. I also wonder if it would start curling up etc. FWIW I don't think it would survive on the Shark Tank Show either :)

I don't have to try it..

I don't have to try it to see the problems it will cause when a ball or balls come to rest on it during a money match. TBH, since there's quite a vocal little group touting it and attacking anyone who disagrees, the concept seems silly to me. Very happy with the Delta 13. I also always strive to have the best equipment there is and this just doesn't seem to me to fit in that category because of the attendant problems.

ps I hope you sell a million of them. I really do.

I can see your point, especially if you are playing some rough dudes.

Neil, I'd be interested to hear your review of it if you do play one.

Also Patrick Johnson, genomachino, Hu, Schmidt, Mills and other afficienados ;)

Seems Magic Rack has not reached a ton of pool halls yet, at least in the US.

I see now what you mean about the 9 ball not moving but also being able to remove the template - the open design of the template is an advantage for that. In fact, I've been waiting for the 15-ball version to come out before I try it, but maybe that's a mistake - does anybody know if the 15-ball version will also be an open-in-the-middle design like the 9-ball/10-ball version?

I currently use the ten ball rack for racking 15 balls, and find it acceptable for 8 ball and rotation. I don't think the rack would be useful for one pocket or 14:1 because of the inablity to remove it after the break.

where can I buy one of these?

I recall a member here, troyroy78 representing himself as either the maker or the distributor. So I searched his recent posts and thereby found an online way to order for $8.00 (which gets you both a 9 ball and a 10 ball magic rack). Not sure what shipping may be.

The link: http://mezzusa.com/index.php?main_p..._id=87&zenid=c0ee8cfa54bfc21b962c09ed76e794e7

If you don't have success there, PM troyroy78 or gate city billiards.

If you or any others get one, please post your review. It's an interesting option from the time honored rack.

A little off the topic but

I think the problem with getting a good rack ( where all the balls are frozen) is in the quality of the balls themselves. A lot of pool halls I shoot at have nice diamond tables with a set of $90 balls on them. The cheep balls are not center weighted & none of the balls are the same size of you mike them making it impossible to get a good rack.

Ok, I just got back. It took less than an hour to run a 4 pack. I need to find a place to put it now... youtube is only 10min and it took 11:30min.

Just wondering why you didn't remove the rack on 3 of 4 racks? Is that your SOP, or did you do that to demonstrate you can shoot with it on the table? We always remove it after the break.

BTW, nice shootin'!

Just to show that you can leave it. I also moved one to show that most of time you can just remove with no interference.
