I feel guilty , should I??

UPDATE! So I had to go and get something from the little convienience store yesterday which happens to be in the same parking lot as the bar. Its about 2.30 and so I decided to stop in and say hi and see if my new buddy was there. He wasn't but his biz partner was. I said hi and he says "I heard to took money off my boy last night?" I said "Yeah, I feel a little bit bad about it and was going to say hi to him" "Well hes not here but are you going to give me a chance at getting it back?" I said sure, I know this guy can play better than the other one as I have hit balls with him before, just a couple of racks playing around.

Now he and I always play the golden tee game for $10 and he gives me 6 strokes. So I asked him if he wanted to play the golden tee. He said "no lets play pool." AGAIN I am too nice of a guy cos I told him "You have more chance at the golden tee you know" He explained to me that he has been playing a little and feels good about it. So I order a beer and he came and sat at the bar and was just talking with the regulars. He tells the bar tender gal to get everyone a shot, so the small group at the bar had a shot. 5-10 mins later he says lets have another one. No I am not sure if this was a ploy to get me buzzed or not but a little while later he buys everyone another shot except this time I decline as I don't drink hard stuff very often. So after I refused he said "Ok, we gonna do this?" "Sure".

I So he wants the same deal as I gave his partner I said we can go one better. I gave him the breaks. This was a ploy of my own as I knew he was good enough to make a ball or two on the break and maybe another one or two but I knew that he could not consistantly break and run out if at all. This as we all know in 8-ball leaves my balls open and with less clutter for the most part. He still has not figured this out I don't think :) I also changed it to a race to 7.

So to make a short story long, we play the same my $50 against his $50 in bar and food credit. he plays like a gentleman no yelling dancing but the only thing he did and I am sure he didn't know but I explained to him. I was on a 8-ball and he was stood right in my eyeline and kinda threw his cue down against his chair as if to say this games over. The 8 wasn't easy so I got up off the shot and said "Do you give in" He said "What?" I told him that if he puts his cue down like that when I am on the 8 I figure he is giving me the rack. He said he was sorry and he didn't know. Anyway I win 7-2 and asked him to just get me a gift certificate from the back and he did no problems. I even asked if he wanted to go double or nothing but he said he had things to do.

So looking back on the afternoon. I bought 1 beer, got 2 shots for free and won $50 for my next night out. Today is 39 cent wing day and they have great wings :) If anyone is going to try and contact me this afternoon I may be out :)

...give me directions to this bar!

Well now that I no longer feel guilty and that I have given them a chance to get their money back and also realize that I may be able to stay friendly with them and never pay for a drink or food ever again. There is no way I am gonna give up the info on my little berry patch. :)

I know and appreciate what you are saying but thats the trade off. I don't want to give them any other kind of weight other than the breaks. The way this game goes off I am almost a lock everytime. If I give them some other kind of weight it could get closer and I don't want that :)

Don't feel bad, he was only betting about $25 ($50 bar credit) against your $50. He was sober enough to get you on that one... ;)
