I give up!

Rude Dog

<---Dumb and Dumber
I've never been into politics and I'm sure not going to start now in a billiard forum. I had a great time here for a year and a half and rather than make enemies with people I don't even know, I will go away. Thank you to everyone that I have become friends with. I wish everyone a safe and Happy New Year. Peace, John.

Like I stated about a month-and-a-half ago, this forum has lost a lot of its class. It was much much better up to around two years ago and then something happened. All of these new member appeared initiating imho low level forums especially the turd who posted a photo of a dead feline lying next to the freeway. The animal appeared looked really mangled and the thread entitled something like Food for Thought. Well, I initiated a really nasty thread citing that previously mentioned "turd", and both threads disappeared shortly thereafter.

But yes, this forum doesn't have the class it once had. It's like having switched from a competitive private school to a public one.

Please aid me in a plea to talk RD into not leaving. For those who he has made laugh and made it fun you can show your apprecation of Jonh by adding to his reputation points and telling him why he would be missed.i thank you all , and wish you all a safe and wonderful New Year.

He already knows how I feel and I completely agree with you.

Whatever you choose buddy, we'll keep in touch either way.

Koop

You'll be missed, Rude Dog, but thanks for all you've contributed here on AZB. Here's to your good health.

John,

I hate to see you go. Maybe we will cross paths at a tournament. Please let me know if you want to bang them around when you're out here on the west coast.

Chris

Rude Dude, you know I luv ya. Like Koop said, we'll still be in touch either way. ;)

Rude Dog, you'll be missed. I hope some interesting future discussions re-ignite you interest.

Enjoy your your rest away:)

Respectfully, if someone wants to leave, they usually just do it. They don't make a new thread about their departure, and they don't check back in to discuss things further.

That said, I see this thread as a cry for help, asking where did all the good times go? The golden era of AZ.

Please understand that this is a pubic MB, and I love the fact that there are so many knowledgeable, passionate posters.

Don't let some fool who posts obscene pic files around here, or acts rude or obnoxious take away for the relationships that many have formed here. That would be a loss to the individual who left, and to people like me who could benefit from someone who is knowledgeable and enthusiastic about pool.

That would be true, if the poster were a troll. If he has made some friends though, it does make sense, to say good-bye. I wish you peace and many good rolls along the way, Rude Dog. I hope to see you come back some day.

I hope it wasn't my post that sent it over to the NPR section! I thought your humor was original and truly funny. I'm sorry if I contributed in any way to your leaving. :(

Linda <miss you, love you long time (at least since October)>

What are reputation:confused: points? Why are bright, thought provoking,long-term members leaving? Is their some kind of oppressive censorship system that is not clear to idiots like me? Somebody---enlighten me.

I must have missed something, I don't know why you're bailing out. Personally I hope you reconsider, but your perogative to do so.

Look in the blue border above each post. Right next to the post number in the top right corner is a set of scales. Click on the scales and you can either give positive or negative feedback for the poster. Next click on the member list then click on the column header "Reputation" all posters are listed according to their approval points. It is goofy, but a good way to show RD that we care. He is currently the top dog, by the way.

I to will miss Rude Dog, hopefully he will return soon....
While we're on the topic of thought provoking and sometimes controversial members leaving what happened to the LEGENDARY "drivermaker". I enjoyed some of his "stuff" before I became a member. I was on vacation (no computer access) and when I returned he was "off the air". Thanks

A safe and happy New Year to you too John. This place is better with you than without, but of course it is your choice. I'm thinking that you miss the ability to type and read ex****ingspletives :D .... me too.

I've never understood this either. If you're a valued poster, people will miss you. If you're not, people won't. By placing an "I'm outta here" post, you shut a door that you might feel embarrassed later on to walk through again.

Every board cycles through periods of excitement to periods of sheer boredom. It's the nature of all boards.
