After Odzilla got booted off, and now you. I'm going to pass on the Inside Pool chat. It sounds like they need a moderator, rather than relying on a badly written filter script.
Years ago, one of my co-workers had the bright idea of scripting his own internet browsing filter, instead of subscribing to one of the established services. His script would automatically flag you and send an e-mail notification. My boss was notified twice because his filter wasn't smart enough to tell the difference between sex and and essex county new jersey.

The only thing I typed bad was "su.cks"

I gotta question for y'all. Pick a number and explain.
1. Would watching the livestream without chat be as entertaining or enjoyable for you?
2. Does the chat make it more like you're in a virtual pool room, sitting on the rail with your buddies and enjoying the show?
3. What if there was only audio, like a radio broadcast but live, real time, would you still enjoy the pool match if there was no video and you were only listening to the commentators?

I belong to an industry forum that only allows people to join using their real names. I found it intimidating at first, but after hanging out on AzBilliards, I totally like using the real name. People might think twice before they cause anger and/or hurt for the mere thrill of it, all the while hiding behind their monitor like keyboard cowboys and cowgirls. :grin-square:
BTW, Oldzilla, is Joe's Grill still there next to Golden Cue? I am trying to remember you from your avatar pic, but I need to see more of your face!

Wow, that picture is a great one of you. Ironically, if you look in that same thread, up above your picture with Buddy's, that's me sitting next to Buddy. I cut off my face for the Buddy picture, but that's definitely me. :grin-square:
Genie Man McCreesh, we love Ryan. Keith and him played on the same team many times gambling.
I've got a funny story about Ryan and Keith at Golden Cue. I don't know if you were there. It was at a Joss tournament, and Keith and Ryan were hill-hill. Ryan's mother was sitting railside, and Ryan was hitting 'em good.
So Ryan has a straight-in shot on the 9-rock in the side pocket, getting ready to claim the victory, and I don't know what happened, but when he shot the cueball, it went straight up in the air and landed on the floor.
Keith won the game, set, and match! :grin-square:
I don't think I said anything even remotely out of line.
They had changed the camera view to the overhead view which is really bad. I wasn't the only one asking for a change back to the original view.

I didn't get to see that match either....I'da probably been lost since my mental age only equals that of a 4th grader. Them 7th graders are RUDE!
:grin: Just get a mod in there that'll warn someone for the first off-color comment, and hammers 'em if they do it again. Forget 3 strikes....if you can't understand that you've been warned, and do it again; you shouldn't be in the chat room to begin with!!
The Cannon vs. Bata matchup was so incredible (in the first game), that it had 100% of my attention from then on.....I most only said/typed what I said out loud at home watching. Like: holy crap! WOW, that was unreal. Are you freakin' kidding me??! etc. Some of the moving and shots in those games you won't see in a lifetime of watching and playing 1P. That's the reason I tune in!!!
Usually several of us "groupies" LOL, will just go to a private chat room somewhere and sweat the match among just us friends.
We use 2 windows and watch the stream in one and chat in another. There is NO rule that says you must use their chatroom!
I still can alt/tab over and see whats going on in the stream chat.

Thats messed up Ray, how in the hell am I not considered a "groupie" and not invited to these "private" chatrooms?!!!!!!! I feel slighted!!!
As for the Galveston chat room, I have no idea who Cuezilla is and don't mean disrespect by this but he needs to lighten up and learn how to deal with a chat room. He could also use another moderator or two in there with him when they start having over 1000 viewers.
