I got hit in the face by Jayson Shaw's balls

This will never stand in court. It's actually kind of funny you would even post this. You where an innocent bystander that was hit by mistake....Like an innocent bystander that was shot or a bystander who was hit by a foul ball at a baseball game? You decide. The video shows him flinging the balls across the table one bouncing off the other going into the crowd. He definitely without a shadow of a doubt owes you an apology. I don't know what your lawers can do for you.

Show me the rule................

I've seen this snooker match forfeit previously. Ronnie did pack up and leave so I suppose a player can forfeit a match but I doubt that a handshake is going to result in forfeit of match.

I will have to see a rule which specifically suggests that an attempt to shake hands with your opponent is a forfeit. Personally, I don't think it is a rule and I doubt that we will ever see such a rule.

Make up your mind sir. Did you want him to come and ask you if you're ok, or not?

Yes and no.

If you were really an Alien "Observer" like your name suggests, you would've seen that I was just responding to Neil's out of the world puns with some extra-terrestrial puns of my own.

$400 for VIP seats to watch a want to be world pool tournament? If true, CW is stealing W/O a gun. Johnnyt

That would be one hell of a "move" of it wasn't! The only handshake I can see being legit would be a match going hill/hill and before the break the players shake and call good luck to each other!

I've been there many times, I always say "good luck brother, run em out for me"!

And it is this reason that a handshake will never be a specific reason for forfeiting a match. Perhaps in the case of a "MOVE" another penalty could be assessed.

I don't want my opponent walking up to me and shaking my hand unless the match is over.

Interesting idea for a challenge match. Instead of money, the winner gets to teabag the loser. Find the 2 biggest APA sandbaggers on the planet and let them go at it.

I don't know what the OP is so upset about....it wasn't all that serious..

It's not like he needs GoFund

This is Kris, man.....he 's learned everything he knows from Tramp Steamer.
..besides, he was much too close to the table...and he was laughing at them.

Hey, Uncle Kris, s'up.
Man, a guys gotta watch out for flying balls, these days. What with folks like Bruce, I beg your pardon, Caitlyn Jenner, and Rupaul out there, you just never know where they're gonna come from until it's too late. You're sitting there minding you own damn business, and all of a sudden, POW, right in the ole kisser.
Uncle Kris said it wasn't that way when he was a youngster. If you met up with a young lady in the balcony of a theater and it turned out she was packin' a couple Arimiths, you just went down stairs, bought yourself a bucket of popcorn, and found yourself an aisle seat somewhere else.
I always liked Milk Duds, myself.

Some years ago in a Manila tourney , Efren missed an easy 9 ball that would have cost him the match
Filipino crowd were stunned and went crazy
Turns out his opponent had conceded and had shaken hands :)

But what are the stats of people getting hit by pool balls since the inception of the game?

The only known billiard ball duel took place in 1843. When a Monsieur Lenfant and a Monsieur Melfant fell out over a game of billiards, they decided to resolve their differences by pelting each other with the porcelain balls.

Standing 12 paces apart, they drew straws to see who would throw first. Melfant won, warning his opponent he was going to kill him with the first throw. Which he did, striking him clean between the eyes with the red ball.

That is one statistic :-)

I know this match has created much controversy and debate, but I just wanted to give my side of the story.

The swelling on my face has gone down but the pain still remains. The pain of Jayson Shaw's bad sportsmanship. Out of rage and anger, he grabbed the balls and threw them right in my immediate direction, as if he was targeting me.

My lawyers are ready to take this to trial but I wanted to give Jayson the opportunity to apologize to his fans for letting us all down. He did not even come up to me and see if I was okay after launching the balls in my face.

Does anyone have me on video getting hit by him? It would help a great deal and my attorney is requesting it. Thanks and have a great day.

American litigation culture just needs to stop!

Maybe you guys need a safe word.

If a guy threw a pool ball at me, they'd be getting an ass whopping.

What's your pain and suffering worth? Maybe 1.5 million? Good luck getting that out of a pool player.

maybe not 1.5m but certainly lots of earnings for a long time.
