I would guess a roadster.

Thinks that you should do what you need to do without telling anyone.

My first thought was you might be sportin' one of those Battery powered Prius type cars. I get a kick outa seeing them on the highway running 80+, really saving gas driving like that.

You showed your superiority by not engaging the guy. His obvious attempt to intimidate you failed and, true to form, he could only do something behind your back after you resisted his attempts to provoke you through humiliation.

What car you drive?

You beat me to the ?

Plus I see no logo to ID the make of the Car.

If indeed it is a Porsche the gentleman with the problem, did have a problem between his ears, as a Porsche is a very cool ride, and fine car.

I will guess a volvo. I was told that volvos HAVE to be the safest car on the road because you will get run off the road for driving one.

Well, we have Rubyron with the simple assault method. Might knock some teeth out which could cost him a few thousand dollars in dental bills and a few thousand more for criminal and civil defense lawyers but hey, what's money for if not to have a litte fun with?

But you have the better idea. Yep...assault with a deadly weapon is the way to go. It's not necessary to actually strike the person. Just put them in reasonable fear of bodily harm and you've got it made. But if you don't follow through with battery you might get off on a misdemeanor charge.

But then there's that pesky concealed weapons charge for the loaded (i'm sure) 9mm in the glove box. Cops HATE IT when they find those things.

So, you'd be looking at 5-10 on top of ten grand or so in medical bills and legal fees. And so what that you couldn't get a passport anymore or couldn't vote for the rest of your life. Hell, most politicians ought to have a baseball bat taken to them anyway.

Damn right brother...NO ONE is going to get away with dissing MY car!

I got to agree Karma will come around and pay this person back then again if he is strung out it sounds like Karma is already working on the guy... I'm not sure I would of hit the guy with my fist I'm getting to old for that and it takes a little longer to heal up these days so I keep a tire iron or ball bat close by or a gun in the glove box years of playing pool in clubs have taught me to keep something close by ... When I reached into grab my cue I would of grabbed the bat, pipe or whatever and wore him out and Lord he better not let me get to my glove box... Again maybe the low road here and not the best way to go but when someone comes up to you acting like that you have every right to defend yourself no telling what someone like that may do... I'm glad you got out of there safe and no real damage done that can't be washed off... Though the guy had to really be a low life...

Also I got to ask what kind of car were you driving that was the first thing that popped into my head when I started reading this ... Was it Ford , Chevy , Foriegn , If you drive Dodge things like this won't happen and you won't break down near as often... lol...

Did anyone stop to think that Peer may have indeed been driving a piece of crap car. Maybe it was one of those little cars with the giant hotdog or bug on the top.

Doug
( it might even have had a Pizza delivery sign on the top of it. Hell, it might have been a hybrid or a Hyundai ) :)

.

That's what I was thinking. Maybe the guy had a valid point. After all there are two sides to every story.

Lol...

Dang here I thought it was legal to carry as long as you have a permit ... And I also thought self defense was a legal defense ... Thanks for showing me the light and the error of my evil ways ...lol... ;)

Cool headed pool player....

Last night when I parked outside our billiards hall, a burly brute started to go off on how much he "hated" my car and that I "must be a retard for driving this piece of shit." Since all his venom came completely unprovoked, I decided to stay cool to not provoke him any further. However, it probably got a bit awkward for him when I quietly picked up my pool cues from the trunk and followed him straight into the pool-hall -- he obviously didn't except that we would end up under the same roof and also seeing that I kind of "belonged" there.

I didn't think more about this as my practice time went about. But then, a few hours later, when I discover that the burly brute and his posse were checked out, it dawns on me that he might have done something to my car. So I run out to discover that the alarm was triggered and the car was covered with spit loogies. What a class act.

It's funny (not "ha-ha-funny" but "strange-funny") that envy, or whatever it is, can drive certain people to act like this, unprovoked. Hopefully he didn't also key the car -- tomorrow's daylight will tell.

Da:m babbling brutes..... You did the right thing. Now-a-days you cannot tell if someone is on drugs or other crap. Plus most people like that do not know when to STOP. You could have had much bigger problem.

I think most of us have had a similar experience at one point N time in our lives..... Good job.

You were lucky to only be spit on. somebody hit my porsche with their car/truck at the end of a parking lot 20 spaces away from closest car at a pool room in FL. had to be on purpose. If i would have caught them i would be typing this from prison right now.

My grandfather always said, "assholes always come in pairs." Meaning that everytime someone is acting like an asshole, there is someone nearby who could do something about it and didn't.

If you noticed what he was driving, a quick call to the police about his obvious drunken swagger into the bar and his license plate number could have made his night a bit more interesting.

I'm 5'8 150 pounds, so I don't have much chance against a much larger opponent, but I'm also a vindictive SOB, screw with me for no reason, I'll find a way.....

I was thinking about picking up a used Porsche Boxer, but considering I plan to visit a bunch of pool halls in the next year, I thought better of it.

The price of it is comparable (and even less) than a lot of newer cars that have less prestige associated with them, but you can't tell that to drunk local yocal. They see the "Porchse" on it, and assume you paid $60,000+ for it.

I don't mind picking another car, though. I chose pool as my hobby, and I understand that some sacrifices must be made for my love of the game.

Really now, don't you think a Short Bus would be more appropriate ?

While I agree that would be pretty fly (for a White Guy), and it was my first choice, I dismissed the possibility of kicking it in a short bus because of their poor gas mileage.

C'est la vie...

Yah, perty sweet! Alas, 25 MPH top speed...It'd take a LONGGGGG time to get to the "C and below" tournaments up in Georgia at that rate.... :D :D :D

Yeah, but you could 'coast' at 65 MPH on the way home. I looked on the map and it's all DOWNHILL from Georgia back to Florida.

That's pretty convenient, as I probably wouldn't have any gas money after the tourney players beat me down..
