Our little game contains lots of irritants, and mine seem to change periodically.

At the moment, I'm grinding my teeth over this: I'm over the ball, taking my usual pre-stroke, and then, draw the cue tip into my bridge hand. This happens most often on draw shots, but GEEZ!

What's bugging you lately?

Any time I feel a shaft ding on my warmup strokes. I used to laugh at those guys who carry around the little cloth and bottle and sandpaper everywhere. Now I'm one of those guys.

I still laugh at them...because I just don't care. I can shoot with any shaft, in any condition. None of my shafts are super clean, or baby butt smooth. It doesn't affect my play one bit.

Just kidding. That's good. I'm not what you'd call a really strong mental player, but my shotmaking is below average.

I have a nice pool room with a nine ft Brunswick in my house that all the guys want to shoot on. I love it because I practice more when I have an opponent. What bugs me is the guys that say they will be over at 9 and then they are over an hour late. Happens a lot and I would have called someone else if I would have known my pool playing evening was starting at 10:30.

I HATE to say hate, so I'll go with; I dislike intensely when I cannot be involved in a game due to my "lack of drinking". I don't know how many times I've been invited by someone to play some scotch doubles or something, only to have the opposing team say, but he's not drinking..... :angry:
