Sure, some people may think KT may not be 'good for it'. And who knows, maybe he won't. But it sounds as if maybe he will be. He was very good for the first two. That's all I'm saying. And yes, he does have skeletons, but don't we all in some form or another. Just not put on public display as some of KT's.
The players did their part. They've played their hearts out in these IPT's, they played by the rules, and it shows on the tv shows. I think many of them are being very classy and of course cautious, and some may have discovered their legal positions, etc.
Either way, the rubber will be meeting the road within next few weeks.
It's just all the bashing, accusing, foreboding, etc. on AZB that is upsetting to me. (I need to stay away! :) )
It often takes a crisis for people to really find out other's true motivations and intentions, and there are usually many blessings that can come out of those crisis. I'm sure that will hold true here, no matter how it all falls into place. But I can't help but to try to have faith in positive results, no matter how it turns out.
I appreciate everyone's responses to my posts. It's an emotionally charged subject considering everyone involved, and I just couldn't hold it in any longer!
But hey, just turn on the news, and there are people with much worse problems than this. Everyone will get through this one way or another, and like I said, I believe most of the players I know of are a real class act, and based on their individual decisions for themselves, more blessings may befall them one way or another.

Kathy, Gabe is lucky to have a mom like you. Don't get too upset about the negativity you see on these forums. It is coming from people like yourself speaking their mind. Sometimes their views differ greatly. They are entitled to those views and guys like KT are used to the heat.
Gabe handles the heat pretty good too as do most professional pool players. :-) I agree that it doesn't do the situation any good condemning everything KT has done, hasn't done, is doing, isn't doing, may do or may not do. The constant negativity doesn't help grease the wheels of the IPT machine. It almost seems that people want KT to fail. Maybe they don't want to see the poolplayers hurt anymore. Personally, I think waiting to see how this all shakes out is the best approach. Positive comments give the IPT its best chance of succeeding. Who is going to buy stock in an IPO when everyone is bringing up every negative thing that has ever been done, might be done or will be done by KT? :-)

Buying stock in ANY IPO is VERY RISKY as any honest broker will tell you.

It might make millions for some and it might lose millions for others. If the IPT succeeds it could provide paying jobs for professional pool players.

If it fails; well anyone should be able to envision what the ramifications for themselves would be and should make their own decisions without constant hammering away which has a very good chance of reducing the IPT's chance of success.

CAVEAT EMPTOR- Let the buyer beware.

If the IPT fails, it fails. If pool players or investors are willing to take the risk, they are all big boys and girls and should be participating in this eyes wide open, without the additional burden of intense negativity which I don't see having much positive value.

This forum and forums like this do carry weight IMHO and so individuals who genuinely do want the IPT to succeed should be more reserved in dispensing their displeasure of KT and company. Those that say they want it to succeed but really hate KT for his failure to hold up to his proclamations, his past deeds, his current reputation, his future possible misdeeds etc can keep on trying to drag the IPT down. What good that will do is beyond my understanding but it is their right.

I think KT's past is, was and is well known by most everyone and every pool player should make their own decision about whether to participate.

Kathy, like most of the professional poolplayers, you have to decide for yourself if these forums are a place that you want to be. We enjoy your posts and insights of professional pool players and the perspective of being a mom of a professional poolplayer.

Warm Regards,
JoeyA

Thanks Joey, you explained all of that very well! I really don't have anything more to say about it, and I wish all the players the best, they deserve it. :) I hope they can shake it off and be psyched up for the big tournament next week!
Go U.S.A!

I had a chance to talk to a few of the IPT players at the WPBA event and I can assure you that they are not complacent. They are ticked off and want to do something about it. They just don't know what they can do.

Mike

Yep, I talked to a coup
