Being team captain is a first for him. In the threads that I've read, they scream ''distraction'' as he's doing something he's never done before, that's asking allot, same goes for Mark Wilson ''learning curve''.
Seems normal to me, tho I've been in Many different competitive sports since the fifties, but when the minds not hundred percent there, it will show, it always does. In pool its waaaaaaaaaaay more noticeable.

Needs to be way less talking between the two players. They are pros and in most cases they knoe exactly what to do. Only thing all the talking does is break any rythem they might have. Johnnyt

Notice europe is out of there seat after every game encouraging there team mate . fist bumping and slapping on the back ... we just go over and sit down and our coaches sit there like they're at church. Show some emotion for gods sake...

That is cool, and it's a start of breaking the old mold of whining, and ME ME ME, which will take the Bergman/Shane generation to change that.
And Shane, being team captain for his first time, is doing something different with his cheering, it's a good start. It's something he's never done, never expected to do and I'd like to know if he enjoyed himself. I did a similar thing, refereeing a two hundred player three day event, for my first time and I had doubts. But surprisingly I enjoyed my part, enough that I'm going to get together with Bill Stock and get my certification next year.
