I have To Brag On Myself & Joe Tucker

I have to brag here I can’t help it, and I have to give Joe Tucker props for his “Joe Tucker’s Aiming System”. I know, after all the bad mouthing over the years I’ve done against aiming systems…I went and bought one. To be honest this system just fits me just right. I have always used a line from center pocket through center of object ball and found my spot on the OB by using the stripes, numbers, and round white areas on the ball. If a solid was facing me with nothing like that showing it was a crap shoot to make blind-pocket cut shots. I always wondered why I made stripe balls better than solids LOL.

Anyhow, my shot making, position, and speed control has improved in leaps and bounds in just a week. Jumped faster than I can ever remember it doing. Today I played the ghost 9-ball…10 racks, and had 7 B &R’s…3 runs w/o BIH and 2 racks of 6 and 1 rack of 8 points on DR. Dave’s rating system for a score of 90. Thanks again Joe. But most of those shots are brutal:eek:. Johnnyt

I haven't ever looked seriously at any sort of aiming system. I do what you do ... the line from the part of the pocket I want the OB to hit then I send the CB to intercept. I adjust the interception line to the OB depending on the english I'm using to help compensate for both contact and spin inducded throw. Someday I'll look into aiming systems, but the more I play, the thinner the cut-shot I can make, so I'm learning something... but it doesn't have a name.

I would like to look into that rating system you mention though just to see where I'm at. Currently, the ghost always wins... by more than I care to share at the moment. :(

You just gave away your true speed. ;)

That's all right. That record is froze in cyber-space. This will last to the end of the millenium.

If you are ever in the Tampa Area I'd like to play you some Bar Box. You'd have the nuts but I don't care, I'll play even. Johnnyt

I used the same system you used for years. I tried ghost ball after reading 99 Critical Shots but it never worked for me. Joe does some great stuff, that's for sure. I'm going to examine more aiming variations besides CTE, maybe Joe's system and Geno's.

dag, I dunno what joe's aiming system is but it sounds a LOT like what I do. Joe is the nearest teaching pro to me, geographically. Maybe I've found my best fit if I ever finally decide to buy lessons.

If you can run 7 out of ten racks on a bar box, you play far better than I do, so it's you that has the nuts.

I guess since you are talking about nuts and playing even you must be talking about doing a little gambling. What do you have in mind?

Tampa is a good ways away from me but you never know where I might show up.

Johnny, you've got the same invite here in New Orleans but you'll have to play on the big boy tables.

Sorry Joey, I don't gamble on 9' anymore. I'm probably no more than a "C" player on them now.
Nothing TAR would be interested in. $100-$200 a set is my limit. Johnnyt

Well, even though this isn't anything like the action I can get with the GingerBread Man, it's action.

I accept it and when I pass your way, I will drop you a note.

I may be coming sooner than later if I snap off the $11,500 added tournament at the GEM City Open
Best Regards,
JoeyA
