Put me in the dislike aiming systems category.

I think they are like training wheels. they teach you how to ride, but you'll never be able to reach your potential until you take take them off.

In other words, eventually you need to learn to trust yourself.

Come on... I love my aiming system... You look at the ball, you look at the pocket you want it to go in, you aim to put ball in pocket... With a bit of luck, your system works!

Yeah, same with me. Keep it simple: see pocket/cb/ob Hilbert space - calculate out the arc tangent of angular momentum - re-normalize - subtract the Hamiltonians - collapse the wave function - and hope I didn't stab a hole in the felt.
