I just learned of a new pool hall that recently opened up in Greensboro NC

I am not sure if anyone will care (probably not, I am guessing), but I just wanted to post about a really nice pool room that I was told that recently opened up in Greensboro NC.

I actually do not know how long they have been open (but I was told that it is a new pool room in Greensboro), but the place looks super nice (with 9 foot Brunswick Gold Crown tables).

The place is called, Lee's Sports Bar and Billiards (that is located at, 2618 Lawndale Dr, Greensboro, NC 27408).

Anyways, I am told that they have tournaments on Saturdays (not sure if this is true, or not, but I am going to go check it out on Saturday, and hopefully there will be a good tournament there to play in). .

I recently moved to Greensboro, and have not found any tournaments yet (other then 1 at Gate City Billiards, on Saturday nights I think). They also have a Scotch doubles tournament on Fridays, but I am not interested in Scotch doubles (because it feels like double the pressure, on me).

Just trying to find some other Singles tournaments in the area. Hopefully there will be a good one at this new place called, Lee's Sports Bar and Billiards.

EDIT: Just in case nobody reads any further down, here is a link to a video (poor quality video, sorry) of what the pool room looks like.

Love to read your thoughts after you check it out. Went on the facebook page, no pics of the place at all. Just pics of sandwiches and food. Post up the cost for table time too if you can..

Tables look alright....

I just called and they have not started a weekly tourney yet but have a monthly scheduled for July 8-9

Place looks WAY too clean and bright for me. Nice looking room...should be in Greensboro in a couple of months and will check it out.

I have not been yet (plan on going tomorrow), but a reviewer mentioned that the table time is $5.00 an hour. I will post back (with maybe some pictures, if they will allow me to take some, of the place), and the hourly prices for table time.

Here is a link to a short video that I recorded (using my very poor quality cell phone camera), of the pool room side of the place.

This is just the pool room. They have a bar and restaurant (with seating tables in a different room). I think the place looks really nice. They have a deal in the day time (from 12 pm until 4 pm) that offers 1 hour of free pool if you order food. The regular hour rates are $5 per person (with a $15 max cap, so if your group is more then 3 players, then it would not be more then $15 per hour). Kind of expensive (I think), but if you are playing by yourself, then it is not too bad.

I added a picture of the flyer for the monthly handicapped 9 ball tournament that they plan on starting (starting in about 5 days from now). I seen that they only have 1 player signed up so far. I hope there will be a good, and strong turn out for the tournament. It does not appear that they will be adding any money to the prize fund, so this will probably affect the turn out I think.
