i love playing pool with cuetec cues

Cuetec

We used to have what was called broomstick tournaments at my local pool hall growing up. I am sure some of you have done this as well. I could think of no other cue that people would probably allow (other than the broomstick) to be played in these type tourneys.

This wasn't directed at me but what the hell. I have a few custom cues here but in all honesty, I shoot better with that cheap ass Cuetec that I have. It's more consistent, has much more power with less effort. About 3 weeks ago I pulled my Cuetec out of retirement and I've been shooting better these past 3 weeks than I have in a long time. I don't understand why a Cuetec has to have a stigma attached to it.
I was getting ready to post about trying your Cuetec and us agreeing that it wasn't a bad cue at all. Considering the price, I'd own one.

If I see someone using a cuetech I will do everything possible not play against him. I will take the forfeit or even cash it in because I could not bear the disgrace that it would be to me and my family if I lost. :outtahere:

Another Good ol' Cuetec thread, either way, Travis is just being a good representative. He gets paid for this and I feel that he is doing his job just fine and my Schmelke is also doing just fine. :D Good for you Travis.

We have already came down to the conclusion about cuetecs for the past 30937394328473489398713894389743892759823798712938473928 and so threads that the feel of cuetecs are just about personal preference and it just so happens that a majority of us on here prefer the good ol' fashion maple shaft. Am I wrong?

Happy shooting! :)

I dont know I;d say if you like it play it. Who cares what cue you play with. If you win with it why change.

That statement sounded like something you had to say because you lost a bet or because someone put you up to it.

Sounds very similar.

Travis,

I currently have a 7 piece Budweiser cue....it hits really sweet. Do you think my game can be improved if I just make the move to Cuetec? And how will it improve? What are all the positive things about a Cuetec that I would immediately notice? Do you have any suggestions on my purchase of a Cuetec? I have about 2500.00 to spend and only want the best. I respect you coming on here and posting this information. Your Cuetec knowledge is most appreciated!

Best Regards
Shawn

I've been on forums since 1989 (anyone remember GEnie?), and one thing I always find is the massing of snobbery towards certain things, relating to their hobby. A Poetry and a Bonsai forum leap to mind.

If the subtle differences between a Cuetec and a McDermott and a Bushka and a Josey and an OB shaft and a Predator shaft and a Moori tip are enough to sink your game, then you are a very sensitive individual.

I can understand wanting to shoot with something other than a Cuetec, but the gang mentality trashing and kicking it to death is pretty funny considering it's a effing pool cue... And I've played with two that had silky smooth maple shafts - I don't know where the fiberglass hurdle comes in to play.

So it's cheap. If it's straight and has a solid hit............ I just don't get it.

I think travis is really alison fisher's husband but cant tell us because of contractual reasons.

Man, speaking of Pinto...I sure wish I had the 71 Vega I had 3 yrs ago...I regret selling that....I know it would give your GTO a run for its money:grin:

Lmao...you beating me with that pinto, would be like telling me a Cuetec is the same grade as a Searing...hahahahahahha. I'll tell you the same thing Id tell the guy with the fiberglass stick...COME GET SOME.
