I Made A Mistake...........

as most know, i just remodeled my garage/apartment, expanding it by 12 feet. that gave me enough room to move the GCIV upstairs vice having it downstairs and having to run up and down the steps all the time. when the men from Orners came and moved the table i had them replace the Powder Blue with new Simonis 860 Tournament Green cloth. part of the reason for the change was because the light blue/grey is the predominant color (carpet, chair rail, curtains, vinyl floor, recliner, borders, etc) and i was afraid it would be blue overkill with blue cloth on the table.

however, i believe i've made a mistake. i dont really like the green color anymore. wish i would have went with the new Tournament Blue, or once again had Powder Blue installed. overkill or not, i wish i had the blue on the table again. after tax time next spring i think i am going to have them come back and replace the standard green with powder blue again.

the new tournament blue is amazing!! had mine installed last month and i love it. when the lights are out, the colour changes alot. Its very easy on the eyes, and its my new favorit colour !!

nothing is cuter then a blue diamond.

I've gotta agree with Solartje. I recently replaced the cloth on my table with the Tournament blue. It is by far the best for my eyes. I do not like the green any longer.. Yep, you did make a mistake...JMHO

here is a picture :s sorry for the bad quality.

You have a nice looking room and IMO the green cloth looks very out of place.

I wouldn't sweat it...take the time to appreciate the wonderful things you have. Your setup is very nice.

Tournament Blue is my favorite color, and wish every table I played on had it.

It lets a lot of light in, allow for great contrast, and is easy on the eyes.

I thought you ran all your decisions by your decorator??? He/She didn't advise you correctly, I definately would have gone with Electic Blue or Tournament Blue.

I have never heard of "Powder Blue" Simonis?? Is that a newer color?

As you know, I went with the new Royal BLue on my GCI and love it. A little too dark, but once my light goes in, it should be fine.

Yeah, I don't understand how anyone can make a ball on green cloth. I wish you the best of luck during this horrible travesty and please keep us posted on its resolution!

No sympathy at all.
You gonna send any flowers or cards?
GC IV??? Ugh!
GC I and II's rule.:)

Ive always prefered Blue cloth over Green, as it is easier on my eyes, and I tend to stay relaxed and can play longer with more focous.

The green makes it look like a pool table. IMO :D

Most major tournaments now are played on Tournament Blue (WPC, US Open, DCC, World Straight Pool, Mosconi Cup, etc....)

I would never go back to green.
