I think Bill got screwed badly.
Even if the check had been included, the transaction was entirely predicated on the Scruggs cue
being as originally described which was the underlying basis for determining the terms of the trade.
Now Bill has a Scruggs cue that he can't present to the public the same way it was presented to him.
He was supposed to get a brand new-unchalked Scruggs cue & got a damaged, used Scruggs cue.
Bill cannot sell this cue & recover the value he allowed towards the Vollmer cue he gave up in trade.
He now is stuck with a cue that is used & damaged and the bottomline is he was lied to on the deal.
the best thing is to reverse the entire deal and both parties eat their shipping costs. Trying to salvage
this is akin to trying to turn chicken shit into chicken salad. It may look nice but it still tastes like shit.

p.s. Bill is a honest person and I'd trust him with my wallet and, in fact, have in the past previously
having done business with him. I'm eager to do more business with Bill again and he knows that.
