I Read This About Prostitutes …

Bruce, I make you real happy, American GI numbah one.

Man, I can't believe I just said that but I think Bruce may have heard that line before. Somewhere downtown Saigon perhaps.

He was single at the time of course.

I heard it quite often a bit farther north. In the Chu Lai area.
Along with "Me love you long time, give you good boom boom"
Hey ! I did my best to support the local economy.

And I have always known that you were a good hearted man Bruce.

Poor girls wandering around with no one to love them. A sad sight to see, I am sure.

See what you've started, Sunny.
What was once a wholesome website dedicated to the enlightenment of any, and all, poor souls who wish (nay yearn) to discard the shackles of poor pool play, and to find their passions fulfilled in the sport (I mean games) we all have come to love, has now been torn asunder by this crude and unconsion...unconsci...outrageous comparison to the ladies of the flesh. Fallen Angels. Women of the night.
By the way, if you know of any at a reasonable price, pm me.

I was thinking that too at first. Gawd, LOL. I was thinking AZ Gigolo. Cue up Blondie.

I don't know if it is true or not.

But to finish answering the other questions, I would have to create another account.:)

Soooo....I put a guy on 3 fouls...twice.
A man on the side says "You playing for $10 a game?"
I said "No, $20 a game...whaddiya think I look like, a $10 hooker?"

“It’s not the sex you’re paying for, it’s the leaving after the sex.”

Not that any of our distinguished forum brethren would have any animated awareness in this arena; but perhaps through hearsay … ?

The tie-in to pool?

What’s it like in a real poolroom? Matching up? Does the process eventually overwhelm the pleasure of the encounter?

Do the games themselves drag on beyond the passion of the match? (I’m thinking of that Derby one-pocket yawner between Darren and Ike.)

Did that country song -- “Staying’s Worse Than Leaving” -- nail it?

Inquiring minds -- well, Nosy Parkers! -- want to know.

Forensic rigor is my life,

Sunny

Please address!

Thank you. Ever so much.

I'm gonna run with what someone else said here,..... Cue up Blondie !!

For myself the longer the grind of tournament wears on the deeper I go into my happy place. Sounds perfect right? It is, but with one problem....keeping score. In past the eleventh hour, playing is the level of my functionality.

A while back I was in a match. I was twelve hours through the grind with one half hour break in the tournament. I had just broke and run a rack and looked at the beads. The score was 2-1 and I was totally bewildered as to who was who. I was pretty sure that it should now be 3-1, but I wasn't sure. My opponent inquired and after hearing my confusion stated it's 2-2. I certainly couldn't argue and no one else was watching so 2-2 it was. I lost hill/hill where I may very well have won by two. If it was BS I'm certainly not mad about it since it was my fault.

While not mad about it I couldn't let something that dumb happen again. My solution was when I moved a bead for the first time I would move the rest of the beads except the last one over a little. This way I would remember what side I was.

Nice

I know what ya mean about functionality and tournament play. I waited 3+ hrs once, and knew who I was likely going to play. I was not happy (lost) only because it was so hard to keep my focus on the need to win. Sounds funny, but deep into a tourney waiting long for a match is not an easy place to be.
Your post may sound simple, but it is important later on.

(Hey, I just noticed AZ now has spell-checker !) :clapping:
