As I get ready to turn in each evening, I usually check this board one last time. I kind of wanted to post something, but really had nothing to say. I looked over some pool-related images thinking I'd post one. I came across this image, it's one I used for a CD label, and noticed that two of the players were wearing a bow ties. Wow, pool players with a bow ties! Might be one of a kind! So here it is..... Good night all.

The painting is "Pool Players World Championship" by Neiman, 1966. The original oil is (or recently was) for sale at the Titus Paul gallery in Ventura. I don't know the price, and I don't know who or what event, if any of either in particular, Neiman had in mind when painting it.

Personally, I'm not terribly fond of Neiman's work, though to give him credit, he can get a sailboat's rigging and sails right, which is far better than most artists can do.
