I am thinking about the wording for a poll to start and if you have some constructive criticism on the wording, I would appreciate your input.

Right now, I am thinking that it would go something like this. I will of course make one for the non-smokers to vote on as well.

The initial post would go something like this...

This is only for the smokers.

Be honest. If you're not a smoker, don't vote in this poll.

There will be another poll for the Non-Smokers.

While this won't be a scientific poll, it might provide some additional insights into individuals perspectives.
QUESTIONS/STATEMENTS:

As a smoker, I want smoking to continue to be allowed inside of the tournament building.

As a smoker, I don’t mind smoking outside of the tournament building during competition.

As a smoker, I would like to see smoking banned at the tournament tables.

As a smoker, I want to smoke anytime and anywhere I please.
 
I'm not a smoker but don't care. I'm just there to play and try to get into the money.

Smokers donate money to tournaments too.:smile:

smoking to be allowed at the tables.

smoking to be allowed around the tournament area, but not at the tables.

smoking to be allowed inside the building, but not in the tournament rooms.

smoking allowed only outside of the tournament building.
 
A thread about wording for a possible future thread, which will provide a platform for JoeyA to complain about smoking for the one millionth time...Maybe you're worrying about this one a little too much?

You're gonna give yourself a heart attack by stressing about other people smoking, and that would be ironic in a way that Alanis Morissette's song never was. :D

Fwiw, I don't mind taking it outside if I need to, but I understand that pool halls have been filled with smoke since before I was born...and I don't think my personal preferences should drive policy.

As a smoker:
I prefer to go with the flow (smoking if allowed, going outside if not allowed).
 
I am a smoker,and I try not to offend folks with it and smoke where I am suppose to,but when you start walking on my choice to or not to by banning it,whats next no farting,no this no that.Thats when I draw the line and say no body is going to tell me I can and cant smoke.Dont know what else to say except if you dont like smoke go somewhere else,cause if you dont I am going to blow smoke up your A!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you want to post a thread, do it. Or maybe you need another thread on if you should put up a thread and then do a thread about wording on your next thread.

As a smoker I would like smoking indoors to be completley banned cause I do not like to leave the hall smelling that much like smoke. Yes if i smoke outdoors I might smell a little smokey but not like that. Plus my eyes dont really appreciate all the burning involved with that much smoke....
 
I smoke. I would not have a problem with a tournament that did not allow smoking in the tournament area as long as there was a place to smoke and a player was allowed at least one break during the match.

You can get really high here. Now we can go up to 14000 feet above sea level and toke up legally.
you ought move here ,I think you would fit in well.
