A third of the crap in this section has nothing to do with reviewing a cue! I think a purge is in order!

It almost makes you think a third moderator is in order to move threads where they should be or just delete them all together.
Like this thread?:D

It wasn't set up to review cues. The Web Master mis-named it "Cue Review" and we tried to get it changed without luck. It was supposed to be a general cue discussion area to talk about cues being bought and sold on E-Bay and AZ without cluttering up the AZ wanted/for sale section.

Chris, you MAY be wrong here. See post #34 in another thread:

Now I'm not saying you are right or wrong, but less than three days after I PM'ed Mike about this, this section came into being. But I think the telltale and convincing piece of evidence (at least for me) was when he PM'ed me back the day after I contacted him saying he thought I had an excellent idea. On top of that, the byline after the Cue Reviews title in the Sections page are pretty self-explanatory. Only the Administration can clear this up, but in my mind this section is for the reviewing of a particular cue or two by owners of a new/recently purchased cue or cues.

OK, I didn't know about this. I assumed it was in response to Joe's post due to the timing.

What we really need is a General Cue discussion area. Right now we have three too narrow areas, Cue Gallery (to show off pics of cues), Wanted/For Sale, and Cue Review.

In addition to reviewing and discussing new cues, it seems that there is a real need for reserach and identification, discussions concerning authenticity and value, and service issues. None of these important topics fall into any of the three existing catgories. So what we have is these topics scattered across all three columns, making it time consuming for the frequent posters to review the topics and find them again once the discussions commence.

Maybe we should suggest to Mike to rename the section "Cue Discussion" or something like that and include research, reviews, identification, service issues, etc as part of it. What do you think?

I thin this has been suggested already ..... without success.

I think we do need a special forum for cues for exactly the purposes you describe above, aside from the ones we already have. I can certainly see, at least in my mind, that a section like the one you describe above would certainly get a lot of traffic.
IMO, there a lot of forums here that rarely ever get posted on that could be removed as far as I'm concerned.
And as for you Purdman, I ain't the one griping about ANYTHING :D :D !!!
