I want to throw up in my mouth

Overall I did not like the show. However, Keith was an entertaining highlight. In what other sport is beer considered a performance enhancing drug..

Bowling?

Darts?

Shuffleboard?

I guess it depends on how good you want to play. Years ago it was nothing for pro football players to have a few before the gamesmaybe even during. Bobby Lane, Max Magee, Paul Hornung. I don't think Joe Willie ever drank ;)

What about baseball. Ruth was known to have a few, so did Mantle.

The skier in the Olympics had a couple, can't think of his name. He was a top contender but messed up. Didn't have enough to drink and was too tense.

I think you need to be drunk to play hockey. Isn't that how it got started. A bunch of drunks trying to ice skate and they needed a stick to keep from falling over?

Good stuff, good stuff. Have a drink on me!

His honesty with the interviewer obviously caught some off guard. This world (and this forum) would be a much poorer place without him. There are too few like him left in the pool world!

Well said!!!

Keith is the kind of guy people can relate to - I think he will be great to bring in new sports fans and watch - I bet he hooks a big endourcement

Another thing to remember, sir, is the IPT already has corporate sponsorship, and it was that corporate sponsorship that decided to emphasize controversial characters. Obviously, at least part of the corporate world thinks more than well-behaved, PC, guys can attract an audience.

My opinion is the diametrical opposite of the initial poster, I think if pool doesn't exploit it's inherent character, gambling, decadent gamesmanship charm, it will never get off the ground. You won't turn a pool tournament into a mass anyways, so use what you got!

This has nothing to do with the thread but everything to do with the thread title so...

Last night I played a $215 dollar sit and go on Poker Stars. First let me say that I am flat ass broke but I placed 9th in a $30 tourny that payed like $240 so I thought what the hell. I won the sit and go giving me $900:eek: Now I had over $1000 in my account so what do I do. I tell myself that I will no way no how play stupid with this. In fact I will cash out at least half and then use the rest to fund my small $20 tournies...but I would like to check out the 5-10 no limit cash games. I mean after all I just won $900 so whats a few 5-10 blinds mean, right. I'll just get in on hands were no one raises and only play when I have the nuts. Who knows I may get to 2 or even 3 grand:) After all I told myself ONLY if I have the NUTS. 2 hands later I drop $800 on one hand with my trip aces to a guy with a 222 AA full boat. After today its all gone.

I call BS. If you had trip aces, how did the pot winner have a pair of aces? Last time I checked, a deck of cards only has FOUR aces.

5 cards are community cards, both players get to use them. They both also could have had 3 aces.

I don't think he mentioned a brand name. I did notice that they showed him taking a drink during a match and the can/bottle was edited out so you could not see the brand.
That was at the US Open. I think that's JAM handing him the drink too. I love it!

Just wondering since i am a newbie, can't he edit(change) this titlei really dislike it, i was hoping noone would post so it would disappear. then i read it completely and realized you are all! making great posts. I have tried for my whole to be A GENTLEMAN and for you that know me succeeded, but sometimes my opponent or the beer hurt me from achieving, but sober awhile now and getting my girlish figure back. ME AND KEITH -AND BUD

LMAO!!!! The game was texas holdem ever heard of it? Flop came A2A. I had an ace in my hand he had pocket dueces thats how.;)

IT was sad, funny crazy, made feel ashamed, wanted to hurt him, then we made a cease-fire then we got to talking in Orlando and both apologized for our actions caused mostly by to many damn beers.Actually were a lot alike the big difference is Keith's mor colorful and a great player.

Hey JR,

Haven't seen you since Louisville in '04. You were playing one hole with someone while Jimmy Mataya was doing his act during the nine ball event. Felt bad that most people though you were out of line. Guess its in the eye (or ear) of the beholder. Nice to hear from you again. Keep posting.

Leil...I was there at the DCC when you were stuck many dimes to Chohan & Keith came to razz you twice. If there wasn't a railing around the table I think that Keith would have come to an end that morning.

THANKS WATCHEZ the funny part was when I put my cue down and he went out the main door,he owed me though i was wayyyyy out of line afew months before.HI LYN I was out of line? Did you hear how he talked to Parica(maybe he likes Bud) I was right! ibchhhed at Scott S. and he GIVE THE ENTRY BACK TO ME waited at least 20 min. to say something he was great, that session he was a fool, and owes apoloogizes to DCC.

The worst part was scott egged it on and we were down to final 20, plus I had mdaesome good shots without catching any decent rolls,so that playing Santos and the chirping made me want to get the tomahawk and get a scalp instead twoa-hoool arguing thats all people see.A man told me he always liked my behavior because he could'nt tell if I wasup or down be-cause I acted the same, that was a great compliment.
