Hey Gerard...I'll 3rd an old Joss. Those cues hit real solid. Is that your new player?

Good shooting to you!

Kevin

Oops...missed that you wanted value info too. If it is an old Joss like I'm suspecting they tend to sell from around 800 to 1200 depending on the market, condition, amount of shafts.

Might be helpful to check out the Joss archive

I can't post links yet apparently, so just google Joss cue archive and you should find it.

I'll give ya $200. ;) (oh sh1t, wasn't there a thread @ lowball offers? ;))

I have little clue on the value, $350- $400? - but it looks strong. Someone qualified in Joss's will surely help you out. I love that style cue. Would love to play a set with it and wait til you had to go pee. :grin-square:

Looks like an early Joss alright. I've personally never seen one with a Hoppe ring, may have been redone.

How about a look at the ferrule? That could be an old Meucci with upgraded ringwork.

yes it has a 18 thread

You have to do a little more investigation now. If it is a Joss it may have been made when they were together. There may be something under the warp indicating who made it and for who. I once rewrapped an old Joss and found my name under the wrap. At that point I remembered the cue. If the cue has some writings such as it was made by BStroud some may give it some extra value. Heck, you could find the name of a top player, you never know. I don't think I would be selling it for no $600.00 at this point, not yet.
