is the thread I started in the main forum so that any of you that feel like it, can showcase some of your work. I've been saying for some time now that you guys should show off your work and what you're capable of doing in the main forum so that others might have a chance to see the kind of work that you do, and the importance of the jobs you perform daily, so that maybe...if they live in your areas...they'll give you a call the next time they need some work done. Guys, if no one knows who you are, no one's going to know how to get a hold of you, just consider this to be free advertising for your business....you do advertise don't you?

If you're going to show some really bad work that you're coming behind to fix up, please do show the before pictures if you have some, but please make sure you show the after pictures of the work YOU did to make the customer a lot happier with their pool table.

This new thread is not a "Hackwork" section...unless you're showing how you fixed the job correctly...that's what people want to see...that you could take something screwed up...and make it right. If you install pool tables primarily, then please...show how the job is done RIGHT, that others might learn from you...and want to hire someone that knows how to get the job done right....because they saw what "RIGHT" was on AZ....thank's to you. Make sure you show how the seams are glued together, show how you do your pockets, show what ever you want....but please, just don't show...here's the table un-assembled....now here it is assembled....because that says nothing about "you" which makes you different than the next guy...or even the last guy that worked on someones pool table, which didn't turn out right in the end.

So, I've opened the door for you guy's....walking through it...is up to each one of you...as I'm not making you do this...I'm asking you to, so that you might have a better chance of being known. You never know what it might bring to you later on down the road, like a lottery ticket...you can't win if you don't by at least one;)

Thanks Glen - for thinking of others.
Sometimes you go a little overboard and I want to poke you in the eye.
But that was a nice post, so no eye protection required today :D

It's in 2 places main forum also seams to be getting more attention for the table mechanics reputation and quality of installs as the post's grow on in length.

Maybe we should link the hack section to the main area some how to help others show off thier skills.

Craig, the only problem I see with that, is that we can all point a finger at hack work...like making fun of it, but...if you think about it, a mechanic that points a finger at someone elses work and says "look at this"...if he doesn't fix the problem afterwards...what has he shown overall. Being a good mechanic is to fix the problems created by lesser trained mechanic's to make a correction. Also, when someone points out the "hack work done"...I think everyone is also kind of indirectly pointing a finger to the person that paid to get work done....but didn't get what they paid for...so, if they weren't so "Dumb" they'd have hired a better mechanic. So, point it out...but correct it....I think means more to our readers than just pointing out all the flaws in our industry from lack of training.
