Ideal cloth/speed for 9' tables - 9 ball

Wbat i said was they don't show as much, as in not out of normal when compared to how they were horrible on the 760 and 860 back in the 80's, 90's and early 2000. And i don't judge cloth as to how it looks or plays when it's first installed, i judge it when it's being replaced and how long it was used. Andy cloth don't outlast 860HR, if it were the same price as 860HR it wouldn't have the sales.
Andy Pro cloth plays signigicantly faster than Simonis 860HR, which is the main reason we like it better. The price difference is not a factor - Andy Pro used to be 15%-20% less than 860, but now it's virtually the same price as Simonis 860 and only about 10% less than 860HR.

I'm not looking to get in to a discussion as to which one is better. Clearly Simonis 860HR is considered better by nearly everyone on this forum, partly due to many of them having never played on Andy Pro. But for myself and what we wanted, I'm very happy right now with the Andy Pro, and price was not a consideration.

Here is a cushion test on my GC4. This is how we did it in the Philly pool halls 15 years ago to try to get 9 rails. IDK if there is a better starting position.

This is in Atlanta, and I had the windows open, and it was kind of humid when I took these shots.

If you bring the cue ball out about a foot from the rail your placing it against, then shoot it into the next rail up, you'll get a more center roll speed on the cue ball. The way you're shoot it it, it has a lot of side spin, but suffers from lack of forward rolling momentum.

How is the Simonis cloth different in the US than it is in Europe?

Does 860HR play closer to Andy Pro cloth or to 760? Now that I'm getting settled in my new home, I'll soon be looking for a table and I want to equip it with the right cloth....I like fast tables and am a huge fan of 760. However, most tables here are equipped with slower cloth....and don't want to be at a big disadvantage when playing on other tables.

So maybe go with 860HR or Andy Pro? Thoughts?

Thanks fellas...

Andy Cloth sponsors the Saratoga, Wyoming tournament and you can see from videos the tables play dog slow. It is so bad I was guessing they had backed cloth on the tables. I dont know what cloth was actually on the tables, only that it played like shag carpeting.
