Ideas that haven't saved pool

Food is not what could, should, or will make something fly.

Pool venues are not place to go for fine dinning.

The pool room is not a bunch of teenagers that are used to fast food and candy.

The pool room is adults and some have health nutrition issues. A multi day pool event should be able to provide options.

Golf and Basketball people understand they are creating a product for consumers and recognize they are in the entertainment business.

I hope pool gets there but most of the evidence says otherwise.

The internet just made the pool room bigger. Making pool popular through the internet is a challenge.

Why are we fighting? It should be more of a one up competition.

I try to set up small work events to get people in the pool room. However most people have no idea how to enjoy pool.
 
Entertainment is why people watch anything, advertisers spend billions on ads they hope you see to remind you to think of them first when you're interested in spending your hard earned money, which is why advertising and entertainment go hand in hand.

If you don't want to be bothered with commercials from advertisers, then pay more on you entertainment subscription for that feature.

The key to sponsoring pool, is to figure out how to make the advertisers a return on their advertising dollars, they could give a shit less if it's watching pool, as long as they can see an increase in their ROI advertising dollars.
 

Empowering middle and seniors to play pool.

Imagine same style video but for billiards and billiard types. Its about getting people excited to get out there.
 
I know some 90 year olds that would still play pool if there was some money to be made, but I don't think icyhot is interested in being a sponsor😅

Well if you ever seen a PGA Event, or been to one. Advertising is every where. Advertisers pay big buck to someone for that advertising.

Those dollar trickle down to payout pots.
 
The problem with pool is image and demographics. You play golf at a country club. You play pool in a bar. That sums up the situation fairly well. I don't see Mercedes Benz sponsoring pool tournaments as they do golf. Small wonder.

You ARE aware of the fact that many people that play golf, and watch golf, can afford to buy a Mercedes auto, and that many do own a Mercedes already, right?
 
Here's one:

Don't have the climax/finals of a week-long tournament be at 2 am on Monday morning in a room being emptied of pool tables.

There isn't much chance of gate.

The days of the gate supporting any sport are going away, and the gate never was much of a support for live pool.

Imagine taking the family out at 2 am on Monday morning for some entertainment. Load up the car, kids.

No? Me, either.

When pool is made unwatchable ON PURPOSE, yeah, a gate is impossible.
