If G. Balabushka were making cues today.

Absolutley not lol

AZ is the worst place for anyone in the pool world to ever use their real name this place lives for roasting people.

This was question asking opinions I gave mine deal with it.

You want some examples look at bob durzicky's site (sp)
He's a prime example of a builder who crushes bushka also in my opinon.

have a great day.

So you are a builder that points to other people's work as an example of how good you are?

Are you sure you are being honest here?

I mean you have to admit. It sounds a little childish, making claims about your work and quality and then not being able to show it?

And I'm confused about your real name comment. I use my real name, Jay does, Little Kenny does, Joe Van does, Big Kenny does, CJ does, Keith does, Barry does, Crisp does, Searing does, Freddie Agnir does, John Schmidt does, Barton does. LOTS of people do. What do you mean?

Bob Dzuricky is a great cuemaker. I don't think he's saying he crushes Balabushka.

Freddie <~~~ and he's a good photographer

So, are we not going to get to see a pic of your Bushka either? Bummer.

Would his cues be superior to all other cues?

No. His value now is in the history of cue building, not so much that his cues were the best ever made. The chances are small that he would be producing cues better than others for his whole career.

Look at major companies that dominated their fields, Nokia, RIM (Blackberry), Palm, Hostess, GM, Myspace, eventually they lost the ability or leadership to stay at the top and a newer rival became the "best".

I love the mentality of this forum.

If anyone has a diffrent opinion for the masses they are attacked.

I don't use my real name and never will since I tend to take the road less traveled and have diffrent opinions that others especially the people here.

You've probably already seen some of my work on this site, over 10yrs there's been a few cues circulate.

And just because you people ask to see something doesn't mean people have to show.
I won't post pics I won't show work because I have nothing to prove to you and the people on here that know who I am know what I say is the truth.

Let's get the thread back on track.

NO I'm my opinion if MR. B was building cues today in the same fashion as the past he would be on the low end of top tier builders and this is my opinion.

Thanks

Nice post and examples

First off, no one has attacked you. We all want see proof of your grandiose claims, since you cannot provide proof, your opinion falls lower than you feel Balabushka would be if he was making cues today.

As far as other people knowing you speak the truth? Even chicken little had some believers.

Here's my opinion. If George was alive today he would be proud of his work (always was and with good reason) and would be willing to post pics of his work and put his name to them.

Thanks

That statement would sound as riduculous to someone who has never held a pool cue, as is does to a cue collector.
What a joke, but in a real creepy way

George Balabushka was a wood worker. His cues would still be highly collectible today as folk art.
The same people collect Carousel Horses and black forest coo-coo clocks.

Its actually not the same people at all. I know plenty of Balabuska collectors and a few clock collectors and none of them collects both. And I don't understand the "would". His cues ARE highly collectible are they not?

Thanks

Kevin

If someone, anybody, won't defend their work or their good name, then they probably can't. People don't hide when they have nothing to hide, or fear when they have nothing to fear, or bullshit when the truth would prevail.

Dammit. I could have been the guy!

Freddie <~~~ except for the fact I don't collect either

I know! I could have been the guy with a Balabushka. Except I don't have one.

I could have been the guy that out builds that hack George. Except I don't build cues.

But I am a guy willing to claim my words under my own name.

1 outta 3 ain't too bad.

Who needs coo-coo's when you have AZ????:D:D:D

I find it funny that people say he would be considered amung the best when he didn't even build his own fronts.

I wanted to visit this post one more time, because I find it so comical
.
Because obviously you are totally misunderstanding what makes a great players cue. it is not how you start, or what you start with, but how you finish. Davis made/makes great blanks, Spain made great blanks, but George made the best cues. There is a difference. And all the champions of the time knew this.

You cannot have a collectors mentality to understand what made his cues so desireable back then, you have to have a players.
