I was wondering what most people thought about this AND maybe make a few more aware.
IF you don't use the "QUOTE" feature, is it assumed you are talking to the last post?

Truck... here is my Opinion
Quoting is a good way to make sure your post is pointed to a particular poster
You can sometimes reply immediately and find you have 2 or maybe 3 other posters that have already replied since you hit the send button.. then you might be incorrectly 'assumed' to be responding to the most recent poster.
confusing? I like to use the quotes or just make mention of it in the first line...

I just hit the "multi-quote" button. Who am I again?
Tom,
I like your style.
:groucho:
I think it is completely illogical to think that you are responding to anything but the original post.
Oh, my career is basically applied logic.
dld
I would also say that if you don't use QUOTE then you are talking to the OP and not the last post. You could think you are responding to the last post but before you post someone else has beat you to it. Then by your assumption you would be responding to a post that you hadn't even read yet.
are we in a court room here?
I would also beat your ass but before you post someone else has to respond to it. The last post then you are talking to the OP and not the last post. You could think you are Then by you would be responding to a post that you hadn't even read yet.
you can edit the quoted post to narrow it down to the points you are referring to
