If You Could Meet Any AZB Member....

I know I already posted my answer - but in thinking it through ... I really didn't put down enough names. There's really a ton of folks I could enjoy some time with. If you guys ever arrange "meetups", maybe I could meet a couple local folks? I know there's a couple "major" events where you folks meet, but is there a "local" section to sign up for too? (I'm in the south-west Pittsburgh PA area)

Under the “Community” section is an area for “Social Groups” then Regions.
Not used very much. Would work perfect for doing local get togethers.
We used to do a “Coffee Break” with the local CB’ers.
It was nice to place a face with the voice.

Didnt know that existed. I created a DelMarVa group.

Underutilized resource.
You can create a City/County Section.
But you have to promote it to get people to join and participate.

I live in LA and we have never had a get together.
People are not very social nowadays.
:sad::sad::sad:

Pool Room Owners should be using “MeetUp.com” to promote their slow nights with a price special or get new people to play with a “Beginner’s Night” with Free Group Lessons.

Hi Dave! You're on my short list, buddy.

Man, that list, all you have to do is get to the Expo some time and you can scratch off 3/4 of that list.

Funny how nobody has mentioned that they would like to meet up with Travis Trotter and play a good game of 9-Ball by only missing two shots.

I can't name just one . There are several I would like to meet....in no particular order.

Lone star Jim
Cornerman
Celophanewrap
Cardiac kid
Deanoc
Hang the 9
Hawaiian eye
Justadub
Straightpool99
MVP
Coop1701
Ctyhntr
Chicago rj

And ...........justinb . Just to see what the hell he is really like.

Well, come to Chicago, drinks and chalk are on me :)

Deanoc and ChicagoRJ, along with a few from NPR who have called me a liberal snowflake. LOL

I think Sofla would be fun to debate with over a beer, too.

Beer and Chalk is on me ;) Oh, I've already met Sofla in person a few years ago. He's not as annoying in person ;) But, then again, neither am I.... lol

A couple

I would like to meet up with Mark Griffin again. I have not seen him since the 60's when him and my older brother were in their late teens and early 20's and we were in Anchorage and he would beat my butt at pool. I guess I will have to show up at "Griffs" and challenge him to a race to 3 in 10 Ball. I'll show him!

But for a newbie introduction, I think Jay Helfert would have some interesting stories. Maybe I should buy his Pool Wars book!

AZ Member Meet

I've been really lucky and got to meet a lot of AZ members thanks to the Derby City tournament, but theirs one member Ted (cuesblues ) I talked to on phone few times.

Seems like a great person and has alot of cue knowledge.

Measureman my friend got a old Cocobolo Lucasi he won't sell it and he's strong one pocket player in Louisville.

I know Ted and he is a top tier classy guy. Ted is always straight up, willing to deal and never wants you to leave feeling like you've lost (in a trade or sale that is).

It's wortha trip out to Colorado anyway..:cool:

It's always fun to what cues you're interested in
Let me know if you want anything
Peace
Ted

You know, that Awizzzy is a swell guy. I sure would like to buy that man a steak dinner and then clean his clock on the pool table.

....Said no one ever. :slap:
