If you had to choose

If you had these 2 cues and could only keep 1 for now, which would you choose and why? Top cue is a Coker, bottom cue is a Omen. Both cues have 2 shafts. The Omen has joint protectors. Coker has Irish Linen, Omen has a really shiney wrap (not sure what it is..or even if its real)...Thanks for all your help guys and gals!

I would keep the Omen and give the Coker to the first person that responded to this thread!

Winner winner, chicken dinner..:D NOT..No, a guy traded this Omen straight across for my Coker. I am not sure how much the Omen cost new, but my Coker was 495.00..The Coker hits EXTREMELY well..and I have not yet had a chance ot hit an Omen...so we will see. Nice try Ross A Roni

Anyone have any comments about these 2 cues to help me out? I dont know anything about an Omen cue and asking for some guidance here....thanks everyone

just my two - i kinda like the coker. i am partial to cues with a little more detail. i like the points and the ring work. and if you say it hits a ton i say keep it. i also don't like plane jane cues with shiny lizzardy wraps:) honestly i have only read in a number of posts on here that omen cues hit pretty well and they seem to catch fair prices. i hate the unknown so like i said i'd stick with the cue i know.

I second this. I have owned both, and I much prefer the Omen.

Pretty simple answer really

Based on your statement above it looks like you are stuck with the Omen. If he traded you his Omen straight across for your Coker it seems as though the Omen is now yours and the Coker is now his.

But what I would have said if these two cues were both yours and you were looking to get rid of one. The obvious answer would be to keep the one that hits best to your preferences and then sell the other.

Best of luck with either cue as they are both nice cues.

Kevin

this is just an observation without even looking at the cues. Omen cues seem to sell better than Cokers. I was following alot of Cokers on Ebay when the cue market was still good and I was watching really nice cues going for very little. Seldom even saw an Omen.

Thanks for all the input..I do like the Coker, but...they are quite a bit less expensive..so I can always get one of them. Omen cues on the other hand, are a little more pricey..So I think trading a plain jaine 900.00 cue for my 450.00 cue is a great deal..if I find this weekend I do not like the hit...it will be up for sale on here. What I am wanting to try out is a Sugartree...maybe trading up like I did can get me to a Sugartree sooner....Anyways....Thanks for all your input guys...
Also...I tried trading my Coker...and the only offers I got was Meucci and McDermot cues..I have had quite a few cues..and them 2 cues dont even compare to how this cue played...

Omen. For no particular reason other than I like Pete Ohman.

I can't even see the wrap from you picture .You don't know if it's "real" what? Real leather? Real Irish Linen? Real sticky?

It is hard to tell from the pictures, but I have never seen a "shiny" real lizard wrap. I would think that it is embossed leather.

First off, I don't think that a plain jane Omen is a $900 cue. I personally like the Omen cues better, but that is a personal preference. Tom and Pete both make good cues. Overall, when comparable in design, I think Omens will bring more money on the secondary market. JMHO

Yea, the SHINY part is what is throwing me on the wrap...not exactly sure what it is...as far as a 900 cue...i honestly have no clue..just what I was told by a reputable member here...even if it is a 700.00 cue, i still felt I came out ahead...i will see how I like how it plays this evening....thanks for all your help guys.....Shawn

This is a no brainer. Omen will play better, hold value better, and is worth more already. There you have it.

I agree...just seeking advice from more knowledgeable people here on the forum

I have 2 omens and my son has 1. I agree with everyone in this post that the omen is the better of your choices. I am sending this link to Pete and he can tell us what type of wrap he used on this cue. I can assue you it's good stuff.
