That is definately the bottom line, the tip doesn't make the player... I'll run racks with any of them... I just chose the cheapest, most readily available solution...:p

I hear you Seymore, but I just don't understand your rationale. Here it is that you are willing to spend $1200+ for a stick, yet you are unwilling to spend money on the tip, which by the way, is the only part of the stick to contact the ball. To my way of thinking, it's a bit like owning a Porsche and putting cheap retreads on it. A tool is only as good as its business end!

After years of playing with triangles, I went to a moori medium a few years ago, and will never go back. I remember in the early 90s when mooris first came out and people were paying 60-75 dollars for them..... I was laughing my ass off. But if they cost that much now..... I would definately put out the cash for them.
Bottom line, its all about feel, and that varies from player to player. What is best, or feels best to one person, may not to another. The only way to get the correct answer to the original question is to experiment and try to find out what feels best and works best for you.

I am willing to spend any amount on a tip. But there is not a significant difference among changing tips for that price. They all do the job fine, and with that being said; there is absolutely no reason to spend more.

I change tips

I played a triangle for several years and liked it. I now play moori mediums and pressed elkmasters and like them both. I also have a blue diamond on another shaft and like that one too. Is something wrong with me?
