PoolSleuth said:Well maybe you should start a thread on the defination of a Hustler. To me it is a guy or gal who travel from room to room, or bar to bar that has Pool Tables looking for someone who want to play pool for money.
A Profession Pool Player, who live off of their ability to play pool, or live off their Stick as a friend one discribed a Pro.
hustler IMO is not a Bad Term, it is just a Term that was discussed after the guy and his possee. Several who are more in tune with the world of pool, made the comment about him be a Hustler...
Maybe I should have call him a Pro Traveling Pool player, as I stated no one present when this all went on had seen any of the (3) B4 in this location....
Even with your definition, you're still most likely incorrect. If his "big score" was $100 at the most, and he didn't make any attempt at driving that number up or keeping his fish on the line, then he doesn't make a living playing pool, nor was he likely "travelling from room to room" searching for marks to be relieved of their money. To me, he sounds like a good pool player who found himself in a pool room, and wanted to match up with somebody. You've just described half the people on this board
