If you were stuck on a desert island with a pool table...

i would probably pick the rest of the balls. only because snapshot cleverly pointed out you could probably find some natural material to use as chalk.

one thing is for certain though, if I was stuck on a desert island with a pool table, I would damn well make sure I was good enough to turn pro when i was rescued!

Balls 10-15, I'd get awful sick of 9-ball. Matter of fact I think I'd get kind of sick of pool. How about substituting a rather large book store or library for the pool related items.

Ummm . . . . Alessandra Ambrosio :D

I hear she has quite a stroke and likes to give lessons.

"Yummy" A Victorias Secret Model would be nice to get stuck on the island with.:D

Uh Honey, have you seen the chalk?
Sorry dear, I used it all to draw pictures and decorate the wall of our cave.

Well the chalk and powder would run out. You could always fashion a triangle out of some palm trees. I would want the 10-15 balls.

Am I the only one thinking about survival? You aint gonna play pool for long if you don't eat! :D

After the hunt is done and the wild boar you stabbed, or the fish that you speared, or the dead rat that you found is on the fire, THEN you can knock some balls around.

that's friggin funny!

None of the above. I'd rather have this hot chick I know there to play with on the pool table instead:)

Balls 10 -15 Snapshot is right about chalk....Where's the Island? Tropical? I figure I'll eat coconuts and fish.....

Temperate would be a problem as I am not suggesting that coconuts migrate. Although perhaps a bird could grip it by the husk and carry it. Depending on the wing speed velocity and weight ratio's

If you were stuck on a desert island with a pool table with drop pockets, pool cue, cue ball and balls 1-9, and could only bring one of the following, what would it be and why?

Chalk
Powder
Rack
Ball Return
Balls 10-15

Did you mean deserted island? It's almost an oxymoron to be on a desert island. Now if I was on an island with a pool table and dessert, a glass of milk would be  . Just Chalk it up to experience.

The blood from spearing or bludgeoning animals might soak into the wood of the cue and make it a little sticky.

Powder deserves a serious consideration. :D

Definitely chalk. After playing pool all day it will be hard to remain "Master of your domain" when alone at night so the chalk may come in "handy". :D

What no natives

If the island had natives you could use the "powder" to barter with and get anything u need. Maybe a coconut inlaided rack.

either that or wow them with a decent trick shot performance {complete with hilario Masseyesque banter} so they think you're a god, then you've got it made, or they might think you are evil and cut you're head off. It could go either way

Doh! That's what happens when you try to work & play on the internet at the same time. I don't know where I got it from but I thought that it said you can take 2 items.

I guess I'd have to pick the rest of the balls... I'm sure I could find something provided by mother nature to be a viable substitute for chalk. :p

I'd have to go with 10-15. When I was at the Venetian, I witnessed Efren racking by hand on a practice table, it looked tighter than a Sardo and he was pretty quick at it. I'm assuming he's done it once or twice before.
