If you won Powerball would you make a pro tour?

If I won I would own pool. Pool in the United states would look very different in five years if I won. From leagues on up.

Then the thread continues!!!

I'd make the IPT lies the truth!

I'd give Mark Griffin the $20MM to do what he thinks will work.

I'd work on the three or four things Greg Sullivan has in mind for production.

I'd work with Pat Fleming on his wish list to make Accustats even better.

I'd bring TAR back and make sure they had the same quality as the World Championships.

I'd open up my vision of a pool hall and charge an outrageously low price.

I'd have Earl, Shane, Dennis, and Darren Bobble Head Dolls made.

Oh, who am I kidding? All I'd do for pool is to buy a bigger TV and watch reruns of the Last Call for 9-ball and cheer on Nick Varner.

Freddie <~~~ ready to win on Wednesday

I have very similar ideas including the tv...

I would buy AZBilliards.

Make everyone call me Lord Beibs. Those who don't will receive an automatic 2 week ban.

After 24 bans, it's a 4 week ban

8 of those. 10 day ban. And so on.

5 of us chipped in at work and are buying 25 tickets at lunch...

I would definitely try to help the pool community since this was a game I have played on and off for about 18 years. I don't think it would take a ton of money to help move this game forward. I would probably look at input from the pros as well as fans and brainstorm off of that feedback.

I've actually thought about this. Yes I would. Q-Masters is for sale.
1. Buy it, gut it, install 35 9' Gold Crowns with Green Cloth.
2. Enlist Mike Zuglan as TD for a handsome sum.
3. Enlist 5 other halls & buy them all Gold Crowns with Green Cloth.
4. Have 12 events a year, 2 at each enlisted hall & 2 at my hall.
5. $1,000,000 added for 11 of 12 events.
6. Final event 3,000,000 added and 1,000,000 to winner of season finale.

Figured in 20 years I could blow over 300,000,000 on this and get not much back in return but I don't care, I'd do it for the love of the game.
I would do tournament blue and also if you take lump sum and put most of it on a 2% investment account which would yield the least amount of risk...you would make about 20 million a year which makes 2 million a year on pool tourney doable. Plus with all that money and new places you might get tv deals or whatever...who knows but what I do hope is someone that loves pool wins the lottery... (me)

I have given this some (drunken) thought over the last several years and I don't think I would want to fund a tour but I would hold one mega event. Had I been the Billion dollar winner, I would have deposited two million and purchased two million in bonds or something that would mature in 18 months and hold the event in September of 2017. An partially invitational event. A field of 128 and I would invite the first 64, each guaranteed an appearance fee of something like 3 G's That they collect at the end. 60 of the remaining spots would be open pro entry, two of the remaining 4 spots would be filled by local qualifier here, the other two would be at my desecration, not to worry - none of them would be me The entry fee would be 250 per player and the only free spots would be the 2 by qualifier and my 2 invitees. I'd be inviting men and women.

The Mega Event would a week or so long. Master classes, open tournaments, clinics, exibitions, cue maintenance and building classes, a Pro-Am event, a Pro-Celebrity event, amateur events, raffles, auctions, charity event, vendors, an area for private or small group lessons, a resturant and bar area, and I'd love to run it side by side with a smaller Pro Dart event and/or an open Poker event, and there would be a green room with bleachers where the public was allowed to watch, make side action, prop bets and alike, but not to have uninvited contact with the pros.

The Pros that ran a clinic or a class or an autograph session would have added funds to their guarantee.

There would be a fairly sizable prize pot and I would hope pay out something to everyone in the main event, where even if you went right out you'd still get back at least a portion of your entry fee and the top payout would be 250 - 300 G's. I'd like to do things like a car givaway for most break and runs during a match and stuff like that, and similar give aways for the amateurs, oh.... and the stream would be free.

I don't know what something like that would set me back after all the money was counted, but I think it would be a lot of fun. If I had a billion.5, I imagine it'd be OK
