If your life depended on this..

If its a rack your own situation, without a doubt....I choose Corey! If someone else is racking, I may choose Earl. He would check the rack thoroughly enough that it would be perfect before he broke.:D

Southpaw

I would chose myself....I could break and run out all day in this situation........I would Break....and run right out the door...:)

....and yes...by the time the balls stopped moving....I would be down the street already...

I think the Archer suggestion might have a little more merit than people would think. Look at it this way. After Archer is done picking all the lint off the table the gunman might have fallen asleep and you can make your getaway, if not he's got a not bad chance of running out.

I'd pick

Don Willis in his prime. In fact, as I recall, that's who Luther Lasiter picked when asked this same question.

Allison Fisher........ You know the women play on tables with BIGGER pockets, HaHaHa........ Come on, she plays great........

Luther Lassiter would have been an excellent choice in his heyday. He used to bet spectators before the break that he would run out. He would do this all night and come out slightly ahead. His B&R percentage was around 52%, according to the esteemed Grady Matthews.

So what your really saying is that your life boils down to a hand of Black Jack...and you get to side with the house... ;)

I would pick myself. Since no shot clock was specified, after I broke, I would
take 100 years to shoot my next shot.
With a shot clock I also would pick myself.

Without a shot clock I would pick Johnny Archer. But first I would put a lot of lint on the table.

I don't know of anyone, then or now, who can do better.

Only the Looonnnng time posters will get this, but I would say there is.....His name is PATRICK........He gets millimeter position!!!!!;) :D

After you break yell, "LOOK AT THAT 9-BALL SPIN BABY!!!" Then when he looks break your $2000 Southwest over his head. You better hope its a 21oz. stick!

If I am depressed I would pick Charlie Williams!!!! If I want to live that particular day I would pick Eric Durbin on his good day!!!!! No one can come close to the kind of pool he plays when he 'wants to' get it on!!!!

I know this sounds crazy, but this should make for an intersting thread..

If someone put a gun to your head and told you "you've got your pick of any pool-player in the world..You must select a player to break one rack of 9ball,and run out..no exceptions..one chance..that's it..he misses and you will get it."

I'd pick myself..because although I am by no means a champion..I can run-out ..and above all else ,I would rather decide my fate than someone else..

If I had to choose somebody(else)..I'd probably go with Rodney Morris 'cause he is always a cool customer under pressure and he's got the smoothest stroke in the game..and that is definetly a trait you'd require in a player for these type of stakes!

Any Thoughts AZ ? who would you choose ..?:D

I would have to go with Brooklyn Butch. He has no chance of running out but we're friends and I am pretty sure he would kill the SOB with the gun before he could pull the trigger.
