It is rare you get that wonderful combination of massive virtue signalling by one person on behalf of someone else, who then runs a master class on How to Make Friends and Influence People.:bash:

Well, i might as well finish showing the recut frame in its finished form consisting of a 42 point leveling system designed for a steel plate joined slate into a 1 piece slate no longer being screwed to the frame to mount it, but rather held in place with the rail bolts.

I guarantee you, there is no chance of doing any damage to the bottom side of the slate with the blunt end of the allen screw, when it takes a masonry carbide tipped drill bit to drill a hole in it.

I would venture to guess that a majority of the people posting have never tried to level a 3 piece Gold Crown. Never the less a mismatched one. I can ASSURE you it's FU$&@d!!!! I needed to move my table 2 inches in each direction. So I took it upon myself. It took me 3 days to get it back together and those days were 12-14 hour days. ITS NO SMALL TASK! I am reasonably smart person and physically able with the tools and I had the time and I PROMISED myself it would be the last time. I have recovered and moved tables through my younger years. Been there done that. These tables are extremely complicated. They are solid. They are heavy. They are old. They have warped and sagging frames. Frames and slates can be mismatched. Hell slates can be mismatched. Something that should be simple drove me and my son insane for days. Not to mention it sits on carpet. So when you apply weight (in this case the slate) all bets are off. Anyone that says this is easy either has never done it or plain and simply has no idea in hell what they are talking about. I used a quarter deck of playing cards and about 8 wedges to get this F$&@!r right. And even then it's has subtle rolls here and there. What Glenn does is miraculous. He has documented it. He has shared it and goes way beyond what any reasonable person would do to save these amazing tables.

Anyone that doubts his abilities or contributions needs to get a life or create there own career doing what Glenn does.

I say this and I don't even know him. His posts, work and reputation around the country speak for itself.
Not to mention my experience at attempting (gulp) what he does.

Are you sure the world is ready for your leveling system and zero staples used in covering the table?

I am sure I would. It just sounds like that work would cost me more than my table. I picked it up for $1200. I had to do an overnight drive to Phoenix to get it and probably put a grand into it. Something tells me this mod of yours is probably more than my entire investment. I will probably own this table for another year or so and then try to pick up a GC V or maybe a diamond. Diamonds might play great but I can't get over how ugly they are. Just my opinion. Obviously there are many that swear by them.

Check out a Diamond Professional rather than a Pro-Am or Smart Table.
