i'm going to vegas! how do i get my cues there?

I bought a large duffelbag from a sporting goods store and use that everytime I fly with my cues. They have some medium size hockey bags that are pretty reasonable. I pack half my stuff in, then I put my cues (kept in my case) in the middle and pack the rest around it. Even wrapped a towel around each end a couple times.

It works great and you are taking a much lower risk on losing your luggage than with shipping it to the hotel.

I ALWAYS check my cues but put them inside a hard bottomed rolling bag I have from Samsonite. I don't check them by themselves in just your cue case because weather could hurt them and that is not covered by insurance.

FYI though for anyone afraid of the cues being stolen by security, your luggage is automatically insured for a certain amount of money for anything that is lost/stolen, however, it doesn't cover damage because that is all on your packing skills. The amount differs from airline to airline but it's usually $1500-$2500 per bag.

Like Justin said, I would be more afraid of the hotel staff stealing them than anything else because it's not insured when they take off with them. That's why I never ship them. And there are thousands of pool players at the hotel so check you ask them to hold your bags they can try to get away with saying it is lost.

Death by airline and duffel bag, that is the vision I keep having of my cue!

I hope you are using a case with steel sleeves!

i just bought one of these. i have a large suitecase i bought a few years ago that i was able to squeeze my instroke into if i left the lid flipped over. however my whitten would not fit. although this thing says its 36.5", its probably closer to 35.5". my whitten fits in it snugly if i leave it parrallel with the sides. you can get more room laying it diaganal though. this thing is pretty nice and has plenty of room left over for clothes.

I went to Walmart a few years ago and bought this softball bat bag for like $20.00. Case fits in there perfect plus I put in my shoes, and pack it with t shirts or socks. Never had an issue.

I thought for a minute about shipping them to someone at the hotel I am staying at that I know but then never thought it again as an issue.
