I'm in a bad place...help ?!?

Sounds great. Thanks Tony. Lookin' forward to seeing a pic of the cue that you have in work and we'll go from there.

All the best to you and your wife, cd.

ps... let us know when you get that AC workin' again, ok?

I should be able to get it worked on this week, as of now I have sweat in places God never intended ! lol I had it looked at and was told it was low on freon and possibly a relay, it shouldnt be to pricey. Im just happy the mortgage is solid this month, thanks to the help and ordors Iv'e received. Thanks to you ! and everyone else who helped.

Ohh and btw Im a cigar man myself , nothing like a good H-Upman reserve maduro or an Onyx. :D

Cue Pics

Here are ssome pics of the cue I spoke of, tuplipwood front, B&W ebony handle and Gabon ebony butt sleeve. There are sterling silver stitch rings (6 stitch) at the joint and Butt cap.

Now if you decide you like this one what I can do is put a small tupilwood piece and then a phenolic cap and it will be a 30 inch butt.

Tony

Tony - Looks nice but I think that I'll just opt for a traditional SP like we discussed. An ebony butt with a tulipwood foearm would be nice. I'm not in a hurry. I like a thinner butt by comparison to a thicker one. I can get a butt diameter off of one of my other cues if that will help. And I like a thinner shaft as well... take it down to 12.4 mm at the ferrule/tip, ok?

Not a problem, I will get a blank and get turning on it. As far as the shaft that is about what I play with so thats easy enough. The way I weigh my cues I can make the butt section thinner as well without being to light. Is 19oz about right ?

Tony - 19 oz. would be a bit on the higher side of what I prefer. If you could come in under that I would like it better. Can you target for 18.75?

And if the finished cue weighs 19 oz. that's ok... just don't want it up at 19.25 or in that neighborhood.

I'll measure the butt diameters on a couple of my favorite cues and have that for you later today. I use a Hager extension that fits nicely on those cues and I want the one you're making for me to also fit nicely. The extension is a great tool to have when shooting on my 9-footer.

Later brother.

I like a lighter cue myself, so 18.75 or 18.50 is not an issue. Send me the measurements and I will match it up as close as possible.

Tony - Here's the measurements...

One cue is 1.260" at the end of the butt. The joint diameter at the center of the phenolic collar is 0.860".

The second cue is 1.245" at the end of the butt... and it's joint diameter at the center of the collar is 0.835".

Can you target for 1.255" at the butt and 0.850" at the joint collar?
